“Great place for Cinque Terra”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2012

We loved this hillside B&B. It is all very compact and cat swinging is out, but somehow it all works really well and never feels cramped. The breakfast was lovely and looking out across the bay of Montorosso was beautiful. Not cheap for a B&B but I would say that it is worth it. They have tried really hard and the interior design, finishes, details are all very good quality. You do need to be fit, however, but presumably anyone doing the Cinque Terra is up for a bit of walking anyway. Lovely spot and definitely a great Cinque Terra base.

Room Tip: Lots of choice - all face the sea so probably much of a muchness.

Everything about our stay at Il Parco was ideal-Marta and Italo are lovely hosts, catering to our ever need, and the accommodations themselves far exceeded our expectations. We were expecting the typical charming Italian b&b experience (small, small, small) but we found all of the amenities of Il Parco to far exceed our expectations (luxurious, even) and to be on par with or nicer than a North American hotel of similar calibur. We even loved the walk up the hill - what better way to burn off all of those delicious Ligurian specialties than a little passeggiata? We will definitely be returning to Il Parco next season.

This place is the best. My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in August and next time I would push for a week. Il Parco is the ideal vacation spot. The rooms have great finishes, the breakfast is fantastic, Marta and Italo are very kind and helpful, there are several private lounge spots mixed with shady and sunny, the pool is awesome and looks over the city/water, even the landscaping is gorgeous! I would definitely go back! Internet is free and works great. I do have advice to not walk the first time from the train unless you get confirmed directions, we tried that and after several attempts to find it we had to quit and flag down a cab. After you know where it's located though if you will also learn the stairs that are a shortcut into the city... and then things are much easier!

This b&b is out of the way, benefits from a beautiful view and completely modern accommodations (the AC is most welcome in the summer), I'd highly recommend it to healthy visitors who aren't afraid of climbing, as the walk up from the village can be daunting after a day of walking about Cinque Terre! Service is excellent, Marta's smiling welcome is fantastic, the breakfast is good. The walls are a bit thin so don't book at the same time as a crying baby or a bickering couple...

There are so many wonderful reviews what more can I say?.... Our inital arrival into Italy was not well. We had a very early departure from Paris and were extremely tired. I have traveled Italy many times before therefore I knew the "heat" was coming but experienced a terrible train ride - first class without any air conditioning. Needless to say we were a wreck when we arrived at the B&B and longed to return to Paris. With that said, here is what happened: Marta greeted us with ice cold water, carried my terribly heavy bag up to our room, brought us a bottle of wine and was utterly charming! She further called a tour company for a local sailing excursion that I had booked to finalize the details. Everyday she was gracious and concerned that our stay was perfect. Everyone on the staff was kind, efficient and helpful. I am a 20+ year flight attendant and spend 1/3 of my life in hotels. I normally rent apartments on my vacations to escape other travelers but I had previously read the wonderful reviews of Il Parco. I am so glad we chose to stay there! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Marta and her family - and we adored little Marco! We highly recommend this property: beautifully maintained, well appointed, excelent air conditioning and quiet. Thank you so much, Diane & Erich

We stayed at B&B Il Parco for nine days this summer, and it was simply wonderful! This was my fourth stay here, and this time it was even better than before. Since I was there, two years ago, they have expanded the B&B with a new area with sunbeds, a new breakfast patio (in the shade), and even a little swimmingpool. This means that if you want to spend the day in the sun, you now have the option to stay at the B&B. The amazing and wonderful Marta & family even serve a light lunch, upon request, like bruschette and panini. And if you order a Mojito, chances are big that the menthe will be from their own garden! And now they also serve scrambled eggs for breakfast.

As always, the fantastic Marta, Italo and the others made us feel so welcome, and the atmosphere at the B&B is very relaxed. This time we also brought two members of our family that has not stayed there before. And they were downright stunned about how nice it is to stay here. The rooms are kept very clean, as before, and the gardens are kept beautifully.

We are looking very much forward to return!

Room Tip: We stayed in their suite, "Tramonti", and this is a nice room, with a large window facing...
