“Was concerned after reading reviews, but found it charming!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel 5 Terre. We liked the location - loved this town and the hotel is close to the beach and an easy walk to the train. A number of restaurants and shops are within a short walk. It is easy to get to the hiking trails. The sights and scenery of this town are amazing. The rooms are somewhat small, but clean. The breakfast was very nice. There are pet cats at the hotel, but we did not find it to be an issue at all. The staff is just wonderful - very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. You do feel like family there!

As a Travel Agent I am always looking for Great hotels in good locations - This is great for seniors and travellers - only a 5-10 min walking - dragging cases (as long as its not wet) from the station. (beware the station has no lifts or escalators - its all stairs) . Great staff . Ok its not on the beach But the rooms are of a good size and clean. The breakfast is good and one of my party reckoned its was the best hot chocolate they had had in a long time. and free Internet !
Go and Enjoy

It is hard to find hotels in Cinque Terra and this hotel was fine. A longer jaunt from the train station but basically level so very doable. Clean, modern rooms with fairly large bathrooms. Only issues were the room was fairly noisy and very cold during our May trip. My wife asked how to turn on the heat and was told in Italy all the heat is turned off this time of year. She received another blanket which helped. Nice breakfast arrangement and otherwise helpful staff. In the new part of town at the end so not the best location for the old town or the train.

We spent four nights in this likely hotel. It couldn't be ant cleaner and the staff couldn't be more accommodating! The included breakfasts were fe
Resh every day, cold European continental. The rooms were adequate in size with large windows that opened. Fans and air conditioning was available. I can't say enough about Dominic and his staff. Always smiling and made our sray very pleasant. A real value!

Decent hotel. They put me in probably the worst room, first floor above a headed room - not sure what it was but I could feel the heat when I walked barefoot in the room. I guess because I was staying in a room solo they put me in the crappiest one. Nevertheless it had all the essentials and wasn't far from the train. Was a bit overpriced in my opinion, but the hotels at Monterosso are limited so you don't really have a choice. Free wifi in the lobby was good.

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon here for three nights. The location was good from the train station and very walkable even with bags. The hotel staff was wonderful and very helpful! The rooms were nice and of pretty good size in comparison to other hotels we had stayed at in Europe. The only thing that stunk was a water main break and they woke us up drilling at 630 am. I understand this was an isolated case and did not taint our stay.

A friend and I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights in May. It is incredibly clean and the staff is very friendly. It has an elevator for the guests as well as a pretty good breakfast service in the morning. It is in a good location in Monterosso and close to some of the best seafood I've had in my entire life. Only downsides were that the beds were a little stiff and that guests can only use the wifi in the lobby. I would stay here again.
