We more or less stumbled upon this small winery behind the old town while we were hiking. Fortunately for us, we were just there at lunchtime. And while they said they did not serve food with the wine tastings, we managed to do very well with the bruschetti, olives and other small snacks they brought.
We also got a full history of the excellent winery, a clear explanation of the local Cinque Terre wine styles, and several glasses of very nice wine. And when we succumbed to the temptation to load up, they even delivered it all to our hotel without charge. As we were leaving, the winemaker wandered in and seeing our interest (as confirmed by our purchases) offered a tour of the facility itself, topping off a perfect mid-day break.
One thing to note ... they also do a B&B with 3 or 4 small cottages on the grounds. Something to keep in mind fo rnext time.
