“Lovely hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2012

We stayed in the Hotel Pasquale for 2 nights. The views from the hotel are beautiful. The only drawback is that the train is nearby. The rooms are small but very comfortable & clean. Breakfast was included & the food was lovely. The staff were all very friendly & helpful. The hotel is situated in a good location, within walking distance to everything except the train station when you are dragging your luggage! But the walk from the train station to the hotel wasn't too bad. Overall I enjoyed my stay at this lovely hotel.

We stayed at Hotel Pasquale for 4 nights and it was the perfect base for us, everything was walking distance away, restaurants, beach, ferry, train station. The hotel has been updated nicely, the rooms while small are spotless and very comfortable, the hotel even has a lift which was a nice bonus. Breakfast was included and every morning there would be a homemade croissant filled with apricot jam waiting on the tables, they were deeeelicious and I looked forward to it every morning. The rest of the breakfast offering was more on the continental side (fine with me) but eggs could be requested. The staff at Hotel Pasquale were lovely and helpful when needed. There is one down-side to the hotel, the train line is very close to the hotel and quite loud late at night and early in the morning; we did get used to it after a while but the first night was a bit of a shock. Overall we would stay here again, it was a lovely place to be and the view from our window out onto the beach and sea was picture perfect.

This was the loveliest little hotel. We had 3 days there and just loved it. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the room was beautiful with a view of the beach and water which were just across the road. Absolutely the best place to stay in the best of the Cinque Terre villages.

Room Tip: I think all the rooms have a beautiful room but just check you get one that has

A wonderful small hotel in the best possible location in Cinque Terra. From the initial contact with Emanuela to our departure, the staff was helpful in every way possible including fixing an early breakfast for our departure. The room was clean and bright and a perfect location.

Room Tip: I think all the rooms have a sea view, but the star of the show is the staff, the cleanliness of the...

My husband and I just returned from 2 weeks in Italy. What a wonderful time we had in Monterosso al Mare. I have been to Italy many times, but never to Cinque Terre. Dare I say that I liked it more than Positano and the Amalfi Coast? Hotel Pasquale was EXCELLENT! We chose this place based on TA reviews and we were NOT disappointed. Emanuela is wonderful. She spoke English well and was always available to answer questions during our 4 night stay. She always returned my emails to answer any questions prior to us traveling there. We had an ocean front view and really enjoyed opening our windows each day and evening to people watch. We rarely heard noises outside when the windows were closed. The train does pass by directly beside the hotel, but it really is not a big deal. You hardly hear it.

Breakfast was delicious with a variety of choices: eggs to order, fruit, cereal, breads, homemade croissants, cheeses, meats, jams, pastries, juices, and freshly brewed espresso, and cappuccino! Service was friendly and prompt. This is a family-run establishment where the older parents (I assume?) serve the breakfast each morning. They were very kind people.

We rented a car to travel to Cinque Terre, so Hotel Pasquale offered parking for 18-19 Euro per day, I believe. When you arrive into town, Emanuela will instruct you to meet a taxi person who will instruct you where to park and transport you to the hotel directly. This is all included in the price of parking. The taxi service was also very prompt and efficient on both ends of our journey.

Our room was a good size. We had HOT HOT water and a good shower head (yeah!). There were English channels (sorry, I know it's vacation, but I had to watch the recapping of the RNC and DNC each night before going to bed). A very good internet connection was available for an additional amt (5 Euros for 2 hrs, and other options). The cleaning each day was thorough and timely. Everything was fresh, new towels each day.

Our last morning there we had to leave the hotel by 7am. Breakfast is usually not served before 8am, but these very kind and considerate owners were up by 6am to serve us coffee and food. We appreciated all of there service and help during our visit.

We would stay there again, no second thoughts! What a beautiful town and quaint hotel. Thank you!

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel 3 times and will return again. The room was great, quiet and the staff were fantastic. Breakfast in the mornings was fantastic with great pastries and you could ask for a cooked breakfast. The location is great just a short walk from the train station and across the road from where the boat leaves. We have recommended this hotel to many of our friends and will return there to stay for 6 nights in 2014.

Wow we loved this place. Monterosso is the nicest of the 5 towns and Hotel Pasquale was exceptional. We stayed 3 nights in the apartment which was also in the old part of Monterosso down the little side streets and was spacious and very clean. It really made us feel part of the community, the staff at Hotel Pasquale went out of their way to help us with all sorts of queries from which restaurants to choose and help with train tickets. Breakfast was a stand out and the homemade pastries were the best we have had in Italy! Emanella and the staff made us feel like family and not just tourists, we really loved this place and we hope to go back soon. The walk from Monterosso to Venazza is a must, the views are simply spectacular. It's not an easy walk but well worth the effort. We loved every part of our stay here, the town was beautiful, the food fabulous and the accommodation wonderful, we were very sad to leave.

Room Tip: Would highly recommend the apartment
