“Friendly, great atmosphere & tasty food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2012

We rolled up early at this bar on a very stormy night to find very friendly bar staff and great drinks. As the evening progressed three superb musicians started strumming their guitars and played a mixture of Italian and British mellow tunes. We stayed for some plates of food - local anchovies, tasty pesto brushetta and mixed local cheeses. A great spread. We would highly recommend everyone to visit this bar when staying in Manarola but go easy on the Negroni's.....

“Simple but delightful Lunch.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

Had lunch here because all other places in town had a waiting line or just didn't appeal. Ate outside just below street level. The view turned out to be quiet interesting. Wine & beer were very satisfying. Being one who doesn't like anchovies, the anchovy bruschetta was surprising delicious. My wife had pesto & tomato which had a very generous portions of pesto & tomato. Of course the tuna salad would have to be absolutely great as well as everything else which it was. Staff was unknowably charming. Nice memories created here.

“Cute and cozy!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

My husband and I went here after dinner at Trattoria La Scogliera, which is right across the street. A tall Forst beer cost 5 Euros. There were a couple musicians playing, which made for a nice, hip atmosphere. The bartender (a fellow American) was very friendly.

“Live music”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2012 via mobile

We went in to cantina dello Zio Bramante last night after dinner for a glass of chianti classico and to listen to the wonderful music. Simple acoustic guitar, vocals and a harmonica made for an amazing experience. 4 euros for a glass of chianti was a little steep in my opinion, but, hey, who cares. A definite must see.

“The best bar in town!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2012

This is the gem of Manarola. The bar has a fantastic atmosphere. Every night at about 10 pm local musicians start to play rock and blues classics as well as Italian folk songs. During our 4-night stay we ended up there in the end every time and really enjoyed ourselves. The barmaid is also amazing. It seemed to us that she ran the place single-handedly!
