First of all, it's one of the most beautiful places on earth. The B&B is located in a medieval village on top of a mountain overlooking the village of Levanto and the sea. The views are magnificent. Breakfast, which is a work of art in itself, is served on the terrace. All the food is elegant and homemade. Cecilia makes capucinos to order. The drive down to Levanto can be a bit of a challenge for those unfamiliar with Italian roads, but the beach is glorious, the fish and wine divine and the gelato unequalled. We had the most memorable - and reasonable -meal of our two weeks in Italy at a little place on the other side of the mountain, arranged for us by Cecilia's assistant.

We stayed there for one night on mid May.
The owner is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean. The way up to the village is panoramic and so is the view from their terrace.
Breakfast is very good - better than the average italian breakfast served elsewhere.

l' Antico Borgo was perfect in every way. We explored the entire region from Genova to Lucca and we were so very happy with our selection. It really is one of those truly unique places that you happen upon very, very rarely. The room was wonderful, the staff was great and the food was very good too. We didn't want to leave.

All the other reviews of this B&B are correct. This is probably the best place you will stay on a trip to Italy. The rooms are huge; bathroom is immaculate; breakfast is divine; view is spectacular; owners and staff friendly; and price affordable. The location is perfect if you want to "get away" but still be close to the beach towns and Cinque Terre. Enough cannot be said about this wonderful B&B.

Although a little bit of a chore to find, the Antico Borgo is a gem. Cecilia is a delight and produces a breakfast with all her family favourites that is second to none. We would certainly stay there again
as it served as a perfect oasis after a day of crowds on the Cinque Terre.
