“It came highly recommended and didn't disappoint”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2013

Our local hosts of the B&B we stayed at in Udine recommended that we dine here and we're glad we did. They are regulars at the restaurant and I can see why. The food was wonderful and fresh. Our pasta was light and simple spiced with sage as opposed to the typical spices. Being as it was a hot August evening we sat near the stream and had a romantic dinner. The service was excellent and I would highly recommend it.

“Truely exceptional”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

We ate on the terrace by the brook, surrounded with foiliage. Enchanting. We had pasticcio di giallini, which is a white lasagna with orange mushrooms(girolles), sausage with pickled oignons over a bed of polenta and other delights. The house merlot is superb. Prices are incredible. The people are charming. Do not miss!

“Terrible!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013 via mobile

It s a place with a lot of character along the small river but beware: the place was closed several times in the past due to presence of mouse.
When I had dinner there, a garbage tan was put between tables.
Dishes are precooked, nothing to note about, for bad or for good..
Small portion, so if u want to have proper dinner you have to spend a lot.
U better off going there for a drink and an appetizer.
Ate a steack with rucula and hummus, fair enough.
Attention: they charge couvert for paper napkin

“Perfect location to have a date!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

The restaurant is just next to a small flowing lake which makes this restaurant special as well as with the outside sitting facilities. And of course it has variety of food choice as normal to every Italiano restaurant. Inside the restaurant has a nice bar which keeps you lively till late night. The waiters are little busy difficult to reach them but not so badly though. And another most important thing you have to consider most of the Italian restaurants waiter doesn't ask for tips as it is common in several countries.

“Wonderful, homey cooking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013

We ate here on our first night in Udine, and we were sorry not to be able to get back to it. It's informal, but its dedication to local cuisine is exacting. We had dishes here that we didn't see on other menus that are part of the food tradition of this area. It's a good place for a full meal, or just some beers and a meat or cheese plate.
