Albero Nascosto is a real gem in the centre of Trieste. The rooms are spatious and decorated in a manner that shows a lot of taste and creativity. Our double room had a bathroom (rather on the small side, but sparkling clean and comfortable) and a kitchenette equipped with a small stove, fridge, sink and electric kettle. Although the windows faced a narrow street, we slept tight for all 5 nights one of the biggest beds I have ever seen in a hotel (well, maybe except for Ritz ;-)).

Breakfasts are another story - fresh bread and rolls, organic jams, honey, freshly brewed coffee, organic yoghurt, fresh orange juice, local cheese, wholegrain biscuits, cereals - all delicious and healthy.

The staff was very helpful and extremely nice.

I don't think I can praise this hotel enough!

I am a great lover of Trieste, and I think "L'Albero Nascosto" is fully aligned with the great atmospere of Trieste. This small and familial hotel with it's friendly and helpful team is so cozy and attractive. It's always our first step when we arrive in Trieste, the second step is one of the wonderful Buffets and Restaurants nearby. My strong recommendation: Choose "L'albero Nascosto", check it out, you will love it!

I had an idea of l'Albero Nascosto prior to arrival, having seen the beautiful pictures and read great reviews on tripadvisor - netiher myself, nor my partner were disappointed on our arrival!

This is a well considered, beautifully furnished residence, in the heart of Trieste - for the price that we paid (95 euros) we had an exquisite room with antique furniture, amazingly comfortable bed and fantastic (and stylish) micro kitchen area, which had everything you need, should you decide not to dine in one of Trieste's great restaurants. The residence is not staffed on an evening, so we had our own key for access - which allowed us to feel more at home, in a building which I am not ashamed to say I wish I owned! Stone floors, quality upholstery - comfortable, yet eclectic design which focussed on harmonising old with new... and a great touch with their signature wine (which, incidentally, was very good - red and white)!

Our room overlooked the street - which like all streets in Italian cities, bustled with the sound of scooters and shouts of acknowledgement... however the wonderfully glazed windows and wooden shutters soon muted the sound, and allowed a perfect nights sleep. In the morning, we had breakfast downstairs in the intimate lounge area - a great selection of teas, cereals, breads and other continental treats awaited, whilst we took in the large selection of books (mainly in English), that the owners have collected over the years. The staff were supremely helpful and friendly, and happy for us to leave our bags whilst we took one last look at the city, prior to departure.

Would definitely return, were we to visit Trieste again - thank you for a wonderful stay!

Relatives are too old for us to crash at their place. This hotel is in an excellent, central, location. The apartment we had gave us plenty of room to spread out.

This is a great hotel! The rooms are extremely spacious and well-appointed; every one of the staff we met was very friendly and helpful; the breakfast was very agreeable. Everything I expect in a good hotel, and more!
