I stayed for one night at NH Trieste on my way to a skiing vacation. I booked the hotel through their website and the price was ok but rather expensive for a city like Trieste. The lobby is newly renovated but the rooms are quite dated. The website is rather deceiveing as it shows only a couple of room photos and these are shot in a very tricky angle, so that it is not possible to see that the rooms are not renovated. If I would have known that I would have picked another hotel which had a lower rate, but was of similar quality and location. My room was a corner room and the heating did not work well, so I ended up being cold. I have to say that it was an extremely cold and windy night, though. There was also no safe deposit box in the room. Another major problem is that it is very difficult to stop in front of the hotel as it is on a very frequented street and there is only a small spot on the side walk to park one car. So if there is a car there you have to circle the streets and wait until you can park to unload the luggage. There was also no one present to help with the luggage, and I ended up carrying everything alone. On the positive side I have to mention the good location right in the center of Trieste and the good breakfast which was included in my rate. The wifi was also included in the rate, but rather slow. I could imagine coming back but at a significantly lower price than I paid for this stay.
