“A Great Choice for Center City”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

What a wonderful place to stay. The rooms were renovated about a year ago into an ultra modern, crisp decor. Rooms are on the small size, and some rooms do not have wardrobes, thus hanging clothes in the room, however, I found it to be very interesting in design with high end amenities in their linens, towels and bathroom fixtures. The breakfast was very good serving lots of the local bread and pastry specialties. What was really outstanding was the attention and care received. This is a small hotel almost pensione style where the staff just loves to dote on you and are all too helpful in advising you on restaurants and sightseeing. One just walks out the door and you are in the center of Trieste's pedestrian streets and plazas. Also you are only a block or two away from Buffet da Pepi and GROM and if this isn't too your liking their are hundreds of other great cafes and restaurants to where one can walk.

Two nights at this hotel. The location is excelent in the center of the city wich now a days is full of people. Restaurants end cafes are easy to find (don't forget to visit the "da Pepi"). It is a pleasant city to walk too. The service and the breakfast (continental) are very good. Just didn't liked the room on the 5th floor (Low light and short windows).

This is a small ultra modern hotel in a central location. The staff are very pleasant and the hotel is comfortable and the breakfast good. However the design wasn't really to our taste eg large white cupboard behind the bed comprising wardrobe on one side and shelves on the other with a shelf instead of bedside cabinets. All a bit stark. Also quite expensive for what it is.

Hotel Coppe is located in the heart of Trieste, which means of course that they don't have a parking facility but they do offer valet parking so you don't have to worry about your car. Getting to the hotel by car is somewhat difficult because Via Giuseppe Mazzini is actually only accessable to busses but I took a bet and drove up to the front of the hotel. At the reception they told me that, if you parked with 2 wheels on the sidewalk just in front of the hotel, it was allowed to park to get your luggage out........
And of course the advantage of staying in the centre is that you are within minutes of the various highlights as the Piazza Unita d'Italia and the Roman Theatre. The hotel is fairly new and has a modern interior and a nice restaurant where they serve a good breakfast. They offer two sorts of coffee: various blends of American and Italian style.
The staff is very helpfull and are always willing to give information about the city and possible trips.

A great place to stay - rooms are spacious and new, service is good.

If anything - breakfast is not stunning, although I came down late (10.30, breakfast finishes at 11) so I might have missed something.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is comfortable in every sense and the service staff were very helpful, friendly and attentive to every need. Service was impeccable. They made good restaurant suggestions.
The hotel is walking distance from the train-bus station and waterfront, surrounded by many restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. It is located near the heart of Trieste and everything is just a few steps away. It was just a 2 minute walk to the main square.
The rooms are really clean and modern furnished. The shower/bathroom was very nice and modern. No bathtub but a standing shower unit that was very functional. Bathroom and bedroom both were immaculate and thoroughly cleaned every day.
Free WIFI and pc available in the lobby but only wired LAN for the rooms, but the service staff provide a cable for it. The continental breakfast was quite extensive and delicious.
I really recommend Hotel Coppe to everyone.
