“Great food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

After having a great meal here on our first night in Trieste we were then too idle to look for anywhere different on the next two! The menu changes daily and everything we had was delicious. Charming lady taking and bringing orders speaks good English and was able to translate for us and help us choose. Great food at excellent prices, lovely location overlooking the canal in the centre of Trieste.

“Superb, ticks all the boxes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2012 via mobile

On a recent weekend to Trieste we came across this restaurant on our first night. We chose it because it was a chilly night and this restaurant looked really cosy, however in the summer it has some lovely outdoor seating next to the canal. The menu wasn't extensive but there was plenty of choice and we took some recommendations from the waiter. The carpaccio we had to start was fantastic, really delicate and the pasta was bursting with flavour, I never knew pasta could taste so good. It was very reasonably priced - excellent value for money.

On our last night (we were only there for three, the second of which we spent in Venice) we decided to try somewhere else however after wandering the streets we couldn't find anywhere that came close to this lovely place and so we went back. We were so pleased to see there was a whole new menu with a complete

“Relax by the Canal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2012

Friendly, helpful service in a relaxed environment. Next to the canal, a florist and near fruit and veg stands. Visited by tourists and locals. We ate here twice and were happy with the food and wine.

“A lovely place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2012 via mobile

We had dinner here a couple of nights ago. We were greeted with complementary glasses of pink bubbly and enjoyed a meal of delicious pasta (the mixed seafood spaghetti is particularly good) topped off with the equisite homemade melon semi freddo and some complimentary grappa! It looked like there was only one girl serving all the tables but she did a brilliant job and was friendly and helpful throughout the evening. A lovely experience with a more original menu than your average Italian restaurant. Recommended.

“Cool breeze, canal view, crisp and tasty salad.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2012

Blazing hot. Really thirsty. Feeling like a conspicuous tourist. Under the umbrella at a table on the canal, we ate salads and good bread, cooled down taking in the incredible view. Nice staff, local contingent. Finally felt relaxed.
