“Worst dinner in Italy”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013

We ordered 2 starters and 2 main courses. All of our dishes were bought at the same time, and they started yelling at us that it's normal, even though we kindly told them that we wanted pasta after our salads. They raised their voices and didn't accept that they were wrong. If only the food were worth this. The food was less than mediocre and to think they even charge 2 eur per person for the service...
Rude waiters, slow service and bad food.

“Busy for a reason - don't be put off”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

My hotel recommended Chi Burdlaz and I wasn't disappointed. It is just a few metres from the beachfront, very busy and not bad value. The staff were friendly and service was good if a little slow. The menu is extensive and priced more reasonably than I thought it might be. Food tasted good and you could even see it being cooked in the kitchen via a TV screen in the restaurant. The seafood dishes all looked particularly good.

“Friendly staff but had the worst meal ever !”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

My wife, baby and I had dinner at Chi Burdlaz last night and arrived with a very good impression but the food left us with the worst impression ever. I wanted to write a review immediately when we got back to the hotel but gave the restaurant a chance to let me sleep on it and maybe change my mind. Anyway, i feel I should let everyone know of my experience so they do not make same mistake as us. I ordered the so called "maxikebab" at €22,- from the menu. When the food arrived it looked overwhelming as it was served on a huge vertical skewer. The skewer was filled with burned vegetables, lamb and beef ribs with hardly any meat on (only bone and fat). I skipped eating all the vegetable and above and instead focussing on the chunk of beef fillet that looked decent. When cutting through the beef fillet i found it was all rare and cold inside (almost blue). I would not even have served such meat or anything else on the skewer for a dog. When the waiter came to the table and wanting to clear the plates she asked if it was ok and when i showed her the raw meat she replied "its because its a different kind of meat". Really!!!

“Più piacevole. Wise choice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2013

This was the first restaurant we encountered after leaving the confines of our hotel. It was very busy and looked inviting, so we decided to try it. It turned out to be a great decision. Right from the moment we sat down, our waiter Dani for the night was on hand to serve up the evenings delights in his own efficient inimitable style. The menu choice available was quite mind blowing. In the end we opted for a main of Stracetti di pollo, which turned out to be a very large bowl lined with a tortilla, this was filled with strips of chicken breast mingled around spinach leaves, tomatoes and then drizzled with balsamic sauce, plus a totally unnecessary side order of patate arrosto (diced roast potatoes). The other main choice dish was the Bocconcini di filetto, skewered pieces of fillet steak with a sprig of rosemary accompanied by a potato bun flavoured with cheese, lemon on the side and again drizzled with the balsamic sauce. The wine of choice was Giovanna Madonia, Fermavento 2010 (Sangiovese Di Romagna VQPRD Superior) was excellent. A complimentary chocolate cake dessert came as a nice surprise but this was capped by free help yourself jars of sweets. The whole evening dining experience was one of the most innovative we have ever experienced. One of the things that made it so, was seeing your dish being cooked on the grill via CCTV, the decor of Naval searchlights , an old time juke box, the open aspect kitchen within the dining area and to cap it all the cash till area totally surrounded by tropical plants and shrubs all added to this places quirky ambiance. All in all a really good value restaurant serving well presented delicious tasting food. Highly recommend.

“the best in town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2013

Traditional restaurant, with innovation and fine cuisine. Inside the atmosphere is great: caring of details and furnished in very good taste. The menù is wide and appetizing. They offer both fish and meat. Each dish is very accurate and served in a professional way. The price is adequate at the level of food and service.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!
