I am a freguent traveller (business and pleasure) and I have to say Villa Lalla was much more than I expected. I stayed there for two weeks and loved the atmosphere. Everything is new, area is the best in Rimini (guiet old villa area and easy to reach everything you need) and the staff is wonderfull team. They really do everything to make you enjoy your visit. They put a lot more effort than average hotel does, even with more stars! And if you don't like the big crowded beach there is true Rimini very close. Parks, old town and residential areas with more guiet beach just across the river. Definitely I would recommend this hotel to all travellers. Very good value for the money.

The hotel is on a quiet street 10 - 15 minutes walking distance to the train station. The room I had was a "Classic Room" and was excellant. The staff was very accomodating and the breakfast was continental +.

I recommend it highly.

I stayed at Villa Lalla for three nights with my husband just this month (October). We were happy because we'd been offered a Junior Suite but were rather disappointed when we saw the room because it was even smaller than a regular hotel room! There was just enough room to walk around the bed and there was a small desk with a small tv on it and a closet. The ceiling was slanted, being in the attic. The bathroom was also small but the shower was a pleasant surprise, being large and walk-in.
Once we got over our disappointment, however, we found the room quite cozy. The slanted ceiling had a window in it for extra light and the decor of the room and bathroom was modern and looked like it had been remodelled fairly recently.
I imagine it would be quite warm in the room in the summer but there was an individual air conditioner in the room.
The only advantage we could tell about the junior rooms is that the corridor outside the rooms gives out onto a terrace with tables and chairs which would be quite nice to use during summer evenings.
Breakfast is buffet-style and goes on until 11 am.
The hotel does not have a sea view but is within walking distance of the beach and of some shopping/dining areas.
It is possible to park outside the hotel on the street or surrounding streets free of charge.
The best thing about the hotel is the staff. All the members of the staff including the housekeepers were very nice, pleasant and accommodating.

We travelled all around Italy for 2 weeks and stayed mainly in 3 star hotels along the way, all of which were faultless, indeed luxurious. However, Villa Lalla was a big disappointment and did not even merit a star rating. It was old fashioned and our room was very shabby. The bathroom however was worst of all. You could hardly turn around in it and there wasn't even a proper shower. It was an absolute disgrace. IT seemed like it had not been visited by the Italian tourist board since about 1950. The breakfast was nice but that was the only good thing about it.
