We very much enjoyed our stay at the Astoria in Ravenna. The breakfast was the best we had during an extended trip through Italy, with lots of fresh fruit and many other items. The staff were kind, helpful and informative.

I wasn't very impressed when we first arrived at this hotel. But we were 9 people and I wasn't going to move. We stayed for 3 nights and by morning I was feeling very good about the place, the bed was comfortable, the washroom was clean, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Except the one female staff who wasn't very nice to us, she seemed unhappy with life. Though located outside of the centre, Ravenna is not very large and walking to everything in the centre was easy and did not seem far. We were recommended a pizza restaurant further away from town, yet still walkable and it was so good, inexpensive, and busy with local folk that we returned the next night. I would definitely stay there again. And Ravenna is a very, very lovely town especially after the hordes in Florence.

This hotel is owned and manage by a young Italian couple that take extraordinary measures to ensure their guest are contented and informed about Ravenna. The staff is very professional and the breakfast buffet is fantastic. I found this hotel online and checked the reviews before deciding to stay here. I looked at how far it is from the train station (15 min. walk) since I was coming from Bologna. I checked into going to the Marina di Ravenna and also wanted to see many of the important sights. Ravenna is a very old city and quite small and easy to walk around. I also took a side trip by bus to Classe to see the ancient Basilica there. My room was small but clean and very comfortable with AC and free Wi-Fi. The maid service provided daily change of linens. The hotel also has coffee, wine, beer and snacks available and is not far from good restaurants in Ravenna. Great value and highly recommend.

This hotel was great. It's not as far away from the centre as some reviews make it out to be since it's only a 10-minute walk. The bathroom was very clean. The decoration of the rooms looks a bit outdated and they're a bit small, but not too much so it's fine. The bedrooms are equipped with a minibar and a TV, which was nice on days when I was too tired to have dinner at a restaurant. If you do want to go somewhere to eat, you can get discounts at three restaurants... not very useful if you're travelling alone, but helpful if you're in a group. The staff is very friendly and were eager to answer any questions.
