“nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

I choosed this hotel for the business trip at the Fiera di Parma.
As colleagues neither I did not rent a car, always call a taxi, therefore felt the location was not comfortable.
Taxi fee costs approx. 10 Euro to the Fiera and less 20 Euro to the Parma railway station.
The hotel, in general, is standard 4 star hotel. Staffs are very helpful and room is very nice.
Only one negative thing, I don't suggest halfboard. Better to eat in the city center.

This is. Pretty good hotel but lacking in character. It is primarily a business hotel, located approx 10 km outside the city of Parma which has its advantages of being able to avoid the heavy traffic in town. The food in the restaurant was very good albeit not cheap. The breakfast was a decent spread with lots of choices of meats, fruit, breads etc. staff were friendly and efficient.

The rooms are well appointed and very quiet. The free wifi is pretty poor especially early evening when everyone is logging on after checking in.

Did not use the spa in any way.

Not as high rated as it should be and not as many stars as it says, in terms of value. Staff was not very nice or friendly (and I speak Italian, they were worse with non Italian speaker).

Room was ho hum, luckily we were super jet lagged and tired, so it mattered little.

It's off the beaten track - you want to go into town you'd best have a car. OK for what it was but I doubt we'll ever be back, there are better options.

The hotel is not bad, but not good either. At a first feeling it looks (and it is) more like a three and a half stars than four. Check in was swift, the carpet in the aisles was partly very worn and the walls dirty which did not add up for a good impression. Room is spacious enough, and it does not look "luxury" but is quite average, the decoration is contemporary but it has a kind of cheap feeling. Bathroom is good.
I had problems with the Internet, which is free, when I arrived as it was quite slow, but was ok after, but just ok. There is a small flat screen tv (maybe 21'?) but no international channels.
The location is on a big road a few km from highway exit.
In conclusion everything you need is there, and the hotel for print is of a business/travel hotel. You will not remember it as "oh wow that hotel I stayed that time..."

We ordered a double room and pre-paid via the internet. When we arrived we were given a very strange room with one single bed and one bed which I assume was for a child it was about 4.5 foot long 2 foot wide and about 12 inches high. If Snow White was travelling and had left 6 of her dwarves at home this would have been an ideal room for her.
I went back to the front desk and they said the hotel was fully booked and there was nothing else. I stood my ground. In the end there were 3 or 4 staff huddled round a screen shaking their heads but we were found a room and it was very nice.
We ate in the restaurant for 2 nights and the bill was 142 Euros for 2 people and this included a 20% discount so not cheap and it was nothing special. The hotel is in a field not close to anything else so you either eat there or have to drive off.

Room Tip: Some rooms are a long walk away so ask for a room near the front desk.

Nice enough hotel. mainly a business hotel especialy mon-friday.
would not reccommend for more than 3-4 days stay. Pretty close to airport and built on vast expanse of land, small but good gym, sauna, swimming pool.

Not much else to be said, service from some of the staff could be much better, in line with other european hotels of the same size.
