We chose Corte della Vittoria because it was opposite the church where our friends were getting married. It is an elegant period building now transformed into serviced mini-apartments, ideal for short breaks or business trips. While not in the historic centre, it's only five minutes drive or bus ride from the centre of Parma (about 20-30 mins walk) and a perfect starting point for the Strada del Prosciutto (the prosciutto trail) or the castle of Torrechiara, at Langhirano. it's ideal if you want a comfortable base for exploring the local area, a fridge to store all that prosciutto and parmigiano, free high-speed wi-fi internet, TV, laundry facilities, safe car parking, comfortable bed, good bathroom and a fully equipped mini kitchen. It's also wonderfully quiet - an antidote to noisy city centre hotels with thin walls! Best of all, Luca the owner, is on hand during office hours to offer advice and help. The no 3 bus takes you straight to the centre - it doesn't run after 8pm but you can walk or get a taxi. We walked! Sheets and towels are changed and the apartments cleaned daily. We liked having hotel service but with space and privacy. Our first floor apartment had a view of the garden and at 130 euro a night was good value. We'd definitely return.
