“Horrible. Avoid at all costs.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2012 via mobile

Terrible service. Waited in the cold on the street for 2 hours. Rude people. Made you feel like an inconvenience.
It did have a big bed and a warm shower but that hardly made up for all the negatives.

If you want central, cheap and clean this place will do. Otherwise it is unremittingly awful. The highpoint of our stay here was leaving.

If you do get tempted by some of the hilriously positive reviews here, you should expect a mausoleum like welcome, a hostile monosyllabic, cash grabbing proprietess, a depressing walk from an initial apartment to an annexe over an accontancy firm in a 70s block. A dowdy, dark, depressing ambiance filled with gewgaws and furniture from the cheapest DIY outlet store. No plugs Doors made from carboard and aluminium. A woeful breakfast trundled to your room by a grumbling Signora. We couldnt wait to get back into the coffin like elevator and get out of there.

Room Tip: Find a room in another B and B is our advice.

Actually, the rooms are OK for the price, but the owners don't care about service and obviously only think about the money they can get out of you. We stayed there for five nights, and they wouldn't even allow us the last day to store our suitcases there for a few hours before our flight, and the way they speak to you is like they get very annoyed if you bother them with any questions. On their website they claim to have wifi which is not true.

I couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our honeymoon. The room was so beautiful it inspired the decoration of my entire home. My husband and I felt like we were in a fairytale. We have made a promise to eachother to go back there every five years.

This web site is greatly misrepresented. When we arrived, a gentleman greeted us at the door. He seemed unaware of our reservation and called someone to help him.
A woman came through the door, walked pass us into the kitchen and than came out and asked us to pay her. She was the owner, Georiga. I had to ask her who she was even though there are many pictures of her on the wall depicting her as a culinary cook. There are no cooking lessons or any other type of activity listed on the web site. When asked about breakfast, Georiga made it very clear that is was not home made. It is a cup of coffee and a croissant . We did not stay in the home, we were lead down the street and placed in appt on the 4 th floor over some bank. The place was so noisy and every sound echoed throughout the whole floor that they asked you to wear slippers when walking around. You also had to share a bathroom with 5 others, you can only imagine!!!!! I do have to say the only reason I gave this place a 2 star is because the woman that stays there sometimes, Suzanne , was very helpful......

I would not recommend this place to anyone. Even though we had a reservation when we arrived it was as if they were not prepared for us and we were an inconvenience to them. The gentleman that "greeted" us did not speak English, which I have no problem with, but made us feel as though we were a burden to him. He called Geogia, the owner to help him check us in. When she arrived she walked right past us without saying a word and begin speaking to the gentlemen in private. We all felt as though she was extremely rude. She hadn't even introduced herself and was already asking for the payment!! The breakfast described on the website is not at all what you get. It is instant coffee and store bought pastries, which we opted not to purchase for the extra cost. Also mentioned on the website is wine and pasta lessons....what a joke!!! The place we stayed in was off the property by a few blocks and was located in a high rise bank. When we got there we found out that we would be sharing a bathroom with 6 other people. The floors in the building not carpeted so you hear everything!!! There are signs in the rooms requesting you to were slippers. The entire time we stayed there we felt like we were being monitored. The cleaning lady smokes and leaves her door open so the smell of cigarettes permeates the rooms. We booked the place for 4 nights and could only take it for 3, even though we were forced to pay for 4. The only saving grace for this place is the owners friend, Suzanne. She stays in one of the rooms off the property and was a great help and very friendly. Unfortunately, as great as Suzanne was, it doesn't take the sour taste out of my mouth of this place. It is not a B&B, it is a hostel. Do not stay there!

We had arranged to stay at B&B Baroni for one night, and arrived exactly as we had planned. Unfortunately the owner was not there, and the gentleman who was there, though very polite, spoke no English and did not appear to know anything about our arrival for the room. It took some time to sort things out, and it was not until he brought in an English-speaking neighbour that all was made clear.

Next, we discovered that although the rooms were nice and exactly as pictured, they were a couple of blocks further away from the address given. We were told that the owner would be there in the morning.

In the morning, two ladies were present in the flat but Giorgia was not. We were informed that we would be charged for coffee (what is the second B for, we wonder?) but at least we were pointed to a nearby pasticceria where we bought some good coffee and pastries.

While the room was all right, the hassle and unnecessary annoyances left us unhappy. Since the proprietress did not deign to meet us, we had no one to talk to about it.

The experience was poor and we would not recommend this B&(no)B.
