“Beautiful Hotel Just outside City”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

Quality hotel, in lovely grounds set about 4km outside the city centre. There is a a bus stop that serves the city a few minutes down the road.

Amazing food in the restaurants. Clean, lovely staff.

Not so sure about having no ironing facilities, they charge 3 euros per item.

Manager was very poor..did not reply back to any messages when his staff members promised he would.

We were here for a conference. Very disappointed in the rooms (meeting and guest rooms) and most importantly the lack of viable Internet connection. The hotel needs to upgrade so that it can accommodate the many devices used by business travelers today especially needed for a conference hotel. Usually could not get online until after midnight. I was rudely told to try to connect from the lobby (where there was no place to sit due to conference activities and also only a very fleeting connection). Staff seemed unconcerned about difficulties so many of us were having connecting online. One caveat-- the restaurant was actually amazingly lovely with a great menu. Enjoy!

Lovely hotel. We were upgraded to the Gold Suite and it was fantastic. Loved the balcony with the hot tub. Weather was great. Had a brilliant two nights here. Lovely pool and only 10 minutes from the centre and taxis v cheap. Would definetely go back here.

My wife and I stayed here for one night. We arrived by touring motorcycle and used the Garage parking. The receptionists were helpful and showed us them to the garage located underneath the hotel. Garage was a little expensive compared to other hotels on this trip. The hotel has plain frontage in my view but at the same time inviting and has character. Lots of parking spaces around the hotel. The room was large with fruit on arrival. We liked the set up. We left the room early in the evening to return around 9.30pm to find staff had been in the room and turned the bed down. We had mixed views about this service. The breakfast included eggs as part of your self-service. Delightful selection. A bus stop is only 5 minutes away to travel into Bologna. Tickets were bought at reception. Easy and straight forward. Staff efficient and polite. English was used freely.

Room Tip: At rear over looks the pool.

Surprisingly good and spacious, clean, and reasonable in cost. Bonus of easy parking space for hotel residents. Breakfast was very good, and the freshly squeezed orange juice in the morning proved it was completely natural with no added sugar! We had a good room which was quiet and had a nice view of the back hotel terrace. Close to Bologna Airport (from bis 9 to bis 4). Would stay there again.

Expected a lot from the reviews and hotel's website, and was disappointed. Not a family hotel. Sad dated interior, quality of finishes not what we were used to. Hit and miss with staff and service. Had to ask to have blankets (twice) and to have room serviced - not an "I'm sorry we will fix" but an inquisition as to whether we had been in room (no) or put the sign up (no) and then a 2 hour wait while next shift of staff in. Breakfast ok but only offered coffee once. Felt that business/conference customers first, family 2nd. It is also located in what I can only describe as an eastern bloc style housing estate. The shopping centre behind had a guard at the supermarket and we did not feel safe at all. Could have been so much better. Free parking and wifi only redeeming factors.

Wonderful hotel, it can be used for city trip to Bologna (you can't reach the city centre on foot, but there is a direct bus to the city centre goes every 5 minutes and a bus stop is next door to the hotel). It can be used for travels to nearby towns and villages (there is free parking in the hotel and you are not to stay in city traffic jams). It can be also used for a relax, if you've got tired with impressions and need a short pause.
There are a huge amount of TV channels available. We stayed in the hotel at the day of Willem-Alexander coronation and managed to find a Dutch channel to see this event.
The restaurant is also very very good, we derived big pleasure from the dinner.
