my boyfriend and I spent one night at 'il convento dei fiori di seta' and found it was a very nice place. it is quite small, about 10 minutes' walk from the piazza maggiore, and with a convenient parking place near it (apparently only residents can park their own car in the street).

lot of attention to details: wonderful shower, sophisticatedly different linens and bathrobes, green tea amenities, silk-flowers-keyrings.

smiling staff greeting us in the morning, and a nice selection at the buffet.

I already booked for november, when we will be again in bologna...

We spent a week in this hotel in July in a heatwave, thoroughly testing the excellent air-conditioning! It has an ideal situation - within easy walking distance of the centre of the city, in an attractive part of town.

Lovely modern interior design with a lot of thought going into each room, including comfortable, wide beds. Fantastic personal service from Cristina, the hotel owner/manager, who speaks excellent English. Nothing was too much trouble - booking restaurants, tourist advice, sorting taxis etc it was like staying in someone's home (but without the intrusion).

The breakfast (included in the price) was very good value, with - at last! - fantastic coffee. Would definitely return.

This hotel is one of the best kept secret in Bologna. The rooms are great, the staff is very friendly and the overall atmosphere is perfect for a stay in Italy. This a few meters away from the center and within 2 minutes from one of the best gelato in Bologna. Walk to
"La Sorbetteria" in Via Castiglione and you will change your views on
ice creams.

My husband and I have just returned from this charming hotel.
This small hotel is an easy walk from the center of the city and offers charming modern rooms with a real individuality and impeccably presented. The owners of the hotel are extemely friendly and helpful which provides a very comfortably and stress free stay.
The building is an old convent which still retains much original charm but has been refurbished in a modern designer style - quite like a boutique hotel. Our large room had a fabulous waterful style shower which was great fun.
Would highly recommend this to any one tired of staying in the same old 'same old'! Attention to detail is everywhere as the owners seem to always be on hand to ensure standards are maintained.
