When we arrived at the hotel on Dec 9, we were greeted by the morning receptionist who was totally unfriendly and not helpful towards us . Upon checking in, we enquired about the free city tour as stated in the booking form but was quickly snapped by her that such free city guided tours has to be arranged 1 to 2 days in advance. We were shocked at the way she replied to us , we were not hard up for a free guided tour but neither does she offer any info about touring the city on our own or provide any other options.
In addition , she was not able to provide an english map for our use and gave us the italian map instead. She simply snided at us that the road names are in italian so it will not make any difference to us if it is an English or Italian map. There were tons of brochures next to the elevator that comes with good pictorial maps but she did not offer it to us either .
She also did not offer any help for our luggages and we had to ask her to show us where is the elevator and dining area as well and of course she seems so annoyed by this time . I have never experienced such poor hotel receptionist service and would not recommend that you consider this hotel as it will ruined your day
Her attitude continued to be worst when we checked out the next day when we enquire about taxi booking and pick up point. I must say that throughout my stay in italy for 2 weeks, my worst experience is from this hotel and this morning shift receptionist.
The superior room is very small and the toilet seat had stains when we checked in at 10 am. Room smelled of cleaning detergent and look dated . It does not look like the ones posted on the booking.com .
I would not recommend this hotel unless you are in for some rude and shocking unfriendly service.
