“Perfect location...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 weeks ago

..right at the heart of Bologna. Really nice, friendly and helpful staff throughout and especially at Breakfast. Surprised to get a single bed ( don't see those much nowadays) but it was comfortable and clean, with nice little touches. It was a small room but had a double private terrace and was quiet at night given the location ( I did worry when I saw earplugs supplied but needn't have -didn't need to use them). Breakfast much better than usual for this type of hotel, with loads of choices and good English tea available too. Two small points: toiletries really basic (think bad NHS) so do definitely pack a small nice-smelling soap if that is important to you (it is to me) and I was unhappy to be booked into a limo service to the airport at €25 (no tip) instead of the taxi I requested €16.50 on the way in (plus a tip I was more than happy to give). Friend had room next door (359, third floor) and had very strong unpleasant drain odour in her room on the last morning. (Mine was fine). We got a great rate booking early online. Would definitely recommend.

Room Tip: Be sure to ask for a double bed on booking if you are uncomfortable with a single bed.

Nice hotel in the heart of Bologna. An a walking distance of all must-see's and surrounded by restaurants and pubs.
The rooms were clean and large enough. Bathroom good but no luxury. Shower was a bit cramped. Beds and linen were OK. Breakfast very good for an Italian hotel. Friendly and helpfull staff. Ask for a room at the backside as on the terrace in front of the hotel is always packed with students and tourists. Free WiFi and great terraces on the 2nd and the 4th floor overlooking the city.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the backside

This is a 2 star hotel in us. Advertises air but not turned on room very warm. Beds small , shower tiny barely can turn around. This was not a great stay. Our hotel in Milan was excellent and truthfully I have had better accommodations in tiny towns in other countries with lower ratings

Rather than take the airport bus and a hefty walk we jumped a taxi for 17.5 euros. The location is unbelievable. There is a large courtyard bar 15 yards outside the hotel door. A further 100 yards and you are within touching distance of the Two Towers. A host of cafes / restaurants are in the surrounding streets. We were at the back of the hotel where there is virtually no road noise. The loudest things we heard were the church bells. Well, it was Easter. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Tea / coffee making facilities were available on request. Free wifi in the rooms. Breakfast was varied and plentiful with friendly service. We arrived mid-morning so we were too early to check-in but they secured our luggage while we went for a walk around and lunch. The girl at reception also booked our airport taxi - an executive ride with a chauffeur looking like he was on his way to a business meeting which cost 22 euros.

Room Tip: Rooms are quieter at the back

I have just reurned from a weekend break at this hotel and was very pleased at our choice. The location was terrific, the staff were great and the breakfast was excellent. The hotel has a nice little bar on the 2nd floor which also supplies free tea and coffee in the afternoon (with a nice little terrace) and also has a roof terrace with a great view over the city. The rooms are reasonably well equipped, some are a bit small, and the standard double only has a shower in the bathroom. However the 2 night stay was only 288euros per couple so I think that's great value. Cab from the airport is only 20euros so unless you're on your own don't bother with the bus!

We recently stayed here for 4 nights, and couldn't have been happier. Great location, great staff, good breakfast to start the day, right near the two towers, a block from the heart of the University, nice clean well appointed rooms, good wifi service, Great observsation deck for a panorama view of the city. Would go back in a heartbeat!

The location is excellent. Even though the rooms were on the smallish side and could do with a little updating, the rooms were spotless and everything wored well. The staff was very pleasant and and all so helpful. Breakfast was great as well. To be recommended.
