I stayed at the Millennium Hotel on Saturday, November 22. On the Internet I found an excellent rate (70 euros), which is very low for an expensive city like Bologna and for a 3-star hotel in practically any Italian city. The hotel is very close to the main railway station, which means that, though the area may be lacking in charm, it is very convenient for travellers arriving both by train and by plane (there is an airport bus stopping right in front of the station). The quality of the accommodation was stunningly good: for 70 euros I got a room with a king bed, a wonderfully well-equipped bathroom (I especially loved the toiletries) with heated floor and towel-rack), and one of the best breakfast buffets I have ever seen in Italy or elsewhere. They even had fresh strawberries, which I love! The only minor criticism would be that the central heating was a bit too high, especially in the bathroom. In any case, a thoroughly positive experience and a hotel I would heartily recommend to any traveller to Bologna.
