“Perfect location, great breakfast, helpful staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013

We spent a week visiting Bologna and the surrounding area. The Millennhotel is very close to the train station and Bologna is a main station so many possible day trips by train - very convenient. The hotel's location is also very good for the historic centre and wonderful restaurants and shopping, all a short, pleasant walk away.
The staff was very helpful and professional. Everyone spoke English well, and they were also very patient when we practiced our Italian. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was large.
One of the best things about the hotel is the buffet breakfast, a wide variety of choices and excellent cappucino.

(+)Stayed there for 3 nights. Location is very good, 15 minutes walking to Piazza Maggiore through the main shopping street. The staff was friendly and the guy in the breakfast was trying hard to please us. The breakfast was really good and we enjoyed it! The bathroom was big for the Italian standards.
(-)Day 1 and day 2 we didn't have hot water in the room. On day 3 after our complains we figured out that we had to leave the water running for 10 minutes(!!!) before it would get warm. What a waste of water! The carpet and the walls were full of stamps and the seeds were ripped with red spots on them so we had to use our own. There was no soap in the bathroom. You could hear the disturbing ring of the elevator every time someone was coming to our floor.

I stayed in the Millennhotel only one night. But it was a great experience. Confortable room, nice staff and good localization (near to the train station and the Via dell'Indipendenza - by the way, I strongly recommend a walk in this avenue and in the streets close).

Stayed here for one night when visiting Bologna. Room was nicely decorated, very clean. It's well located for easy access to the main tourist sites and the train station. The included breakfast was very good and the price was very reasonable.

Small rooms, grubby carpet, leaky shower. No writing material in desk. Those things i cam deal with, but it's the paper thin walls that are driving me crazy. It's possible to hear absolutely everything is neighboring rooms - including the noisy sex the couple next door are having right now as I'm trying to work.

Despite the grim weather across Europe - which we hadn't expected in Italy, but it followed us from the UK - we loved Bologna and enjoyed using the Millennhotel as our base. Less than five minutes walk from the train station for day trips out to Ravenna and such, and less than 15 minutes from the absolute centre of the City, so all major museums, cafes, bars, and attractions within walking distance. The hotel was modern, clean, well presented, with pleasant, welcoming staff. Our bedroom/shower room well appointed and quiet even though we were close to a road which had virtually no traffic after rush hour. Breakfasts were very good. A little bit of everything. Hams, cheeses, fruit, yoghurts, rolls, croissant, tarts, fresh fruit salad, fresh fruit. Relaxing atmosphere and excellent coffee made freshly at the bar.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is modern, clean and well appointed. I felt our room was a bit small and unfortunately it didn't have a bath - just a shower in the bathroom and even though our room was on a main road it was very quiet at night. There is secure parking nearby and it was not too hard to find from the motorway. The breakfast was good although when things ran out (orange juice, croissants, etc) they were not replaced so get in early! The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the centre, however there are shops and restaurants in the area so it is not isolated.
