“Amazing views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

500 steps but the best view of Bologna when you get to the top. Great view down to the leaning tower too.Just €3 and a bargain compared to other attractions.

The views are stunning!!
The climb up not so easy.
The descent tricky.
Look out for the really straight Roman road!!

“Amazing view, but a nail biting climb!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2013

The view from the top of the taller tower (Torre Asinelli) is absolutely spectacular. Be prepared, however, for an exhausting climb up a very rickety, narrow set of wooden stairs (I would not recommend doing this when it's hot - I could have done with a shower afterwards! - nor doing it if you don't handle heights very well). Moreover, it can get a bit crowded, so getting up and down can be a bit awkward and the top of the tower is a little cramped, so be prepared to jostle for position to get the best pictures. Worth the effort nevertheless.

“Great views - prepare for the climb!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

We have climbed a few towers in the past but this one is possibly the most demanding with 498 narrow wooden steps. Having said that the views were worth the workout to get to the top - just amazing 360 views across Bologna. A must see!

“Symbols of the City”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2013

Fun to see how the settling of the earth has given Italy another "Leaning Tower". To me it was the border of the elegant area on one side and the not so nice University quarter on the other. Admire the towers and head back to the historic district and leave this area to the students. Even the stores were a notch or two or three down from the elegant shops on the other side of the street. Not inviting for a wander unless there are plenty of people around.
