“Good value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013

Renovated to a high standard, although it is an one hour walk away from the old city (city center) this hotel does offer good value for money. I enjoyed a free upgrade to a suite (after booking a double room) which had a very nice large shower room, a small living area and a decent sized, nicely decorated double room. On the down side, the windows had a wooden cover which let only little light in and almost no view of whatever was outside. A/C was OK. Parking space is limited. Food was great! It's about 5-7 mins walk away from the nearest bus-station.

Room Tip: Even if it's a suite/studio, it might not have a bathtub. Mine didn't. Ask to take a look at...

We stayed here for 6 nights, and had a very pleasant experience. We arrived early on day 1 and the staff made a room available for us anyway. Although they were not the most approachable staff over the whole stay, they looked after us well and that was what mattered most.

The rooms are of a clean standard, are cleaned daily, and the bathroom was very nice. One small problem was that the double room we'd booked consisted of two single beds pushed together; this can make sleeping awkward but if it's a particularly hot summer evening it can be nice to have space anyway!

The restaurant is OK, but we'd recommend sticking to the city centre for meals out if you can. Breakfast is a big affair, and there's lots on offer; get used to cakes for breakfast.

The location is slightly less ideal; it takes a bus ride or walk into the centre, but we walked every day and did not find this an issue. For those with children or for the elderly, we'd recommend taking the bus, though. This is easily done, with a bus stop right across the road.

We found this hotel a great place to stay; there were some small shortcomings, but given the exceptionally low price we paid, we were not going to complain. The hotel was smart, clean and an ideal place to spend the night after the long days exploring the city.

Never in my life have I felt so humiliated and offended by the entertainment staff. Upon arrival (Bologna) reception said that my reservation is invalid, incomprehensible reason. The receptionist rudely wanted to hire me the same room that I booked for an amount higher three times, not finding my reservation, made at home. During this very short stay at the front desk, I heard some very hurtful comments about themselves in their native language. Unfortunately, many of them I understood. Late in the evening I was forced to find another place to spend the night.

The location of this hotel is at least 30 minutes away from Centre. It has no outside area to relax. The reception staff were ignorant and we had to ask all the questions about the hotel. There is a charge for WiFi and no shuttle bus exists. The #24 bus has not been seen to get into the city. The Reasturant is a joke with very belligerent staff who made us feel very unwelcome. I'm staying at 12 hotels and hostels this month. This one is not in my visit again list.

pros: price, clean room, ok stuff, location 20 min by foot to the center, nice breakfast.
cons: if you are a very light sleeper you may be disturbed ( i didn't) by the passing-by trains from the central station.
Very good choice for the price that i paid.

Very very good hotel, with a lovely staff. Internet Free. Breakfast include and very good an a lot of fresh thinks. If you find a suite, also junior, you can live there! Public transport to center of Bologna, is in front of hotel. If you go by car, is near a exit of auto way.

Room Tip: Choose a suite junior or ask for it. If they have available they give you for free.

Very nice, clean, comfortable, very good breakfast, friendly staff and near to the center by public transportation (bus 25) opposite the main train station with direction Doza. The stop for the hotel is called Cazoni. Walk about 100 meters and turn right. At the end of the road is the hotel.
