This family run hotel provides rooms in a main building and various annexes. The staff are unfailing friendly and helpful. A generous breakfast is served in a bright and cheerful garden room. It takes about 5 minutes to walk to a pedestrianised shopping street that takes one to the main square. There are two neighbourhood restaurants on the same street. There is no bar but the owners will provide a glass of wine for clients to sample. If I was to visit Bologna again I could see no reason not to stay at this place again. My only caveat about this hotel is that the room needs better upkeep. The shaving mirror and a coat hook were broken. This is slovenly and I hope that the owners will sort details like this out!

Room Tip: We had a room in the main hotel which was fine but needed a couple of minor repairs. Maybe see if yo...

We stayed here on our trip in 2008 and it was great. Close to lots of things and our jumping off point for our Motorstars tour of Lamborghini, Ferrari, etc. We were unable to get the suite we requested due to a medical emergency of the family staying before us but we received a very large room that I would guess was the same size as the suite we had originally booked if not larger. The breakfast was phenomenal here as well.

Amazing experience at this hotel. This was EXACTLY what we wanted from our Bologna hotel. It's a very quick walk from downtown area, about 5-10 minutes and the walk itself is delightful. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was larger than expected. The hotel had wonderful staff. The woman that checked us in gave us amazing recommendations in terms of things to do and places to eat. She truly seemed genuine and was a happy person, not like someone that is just giving you places to eat that are touristy, she actually cared about the places she was recommending. We especially loved the two house cats at the hotel. Breakfast was typical European breakfast. Overall, this was one of our favorite hotel experiences in all of Italy.

A really lovely hotel, I felt completely welcomed. The staff were friendly and helpful, though sometimes extremely busy, and then were very apologetic for not meeting my every need immediately. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Minimal amenities, but staff will help you find whatever you need. The breakfast was lovely and varied and coffee by a barista! The hotel does not have a restaurant or bar but will welcome you to have a cup of tea or coffee in the breakfast room.

This is a charming and comfortable hotel to stay on a trip to Italy. The reception and breakfast staff are friendly and helpful. Always willing to answer your questions and give you tips to enjoy your visit to their lovely city, Bologna. The rooms are basic but comfortable and quaint and have the charm of Italian culture. What more do you want on a trip to explore the culture and friendliness of the Italians. It was centrally located and close to good restaurants. Lots of walking but that's what we enjoy on our trips to Italy. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bologna. We were here in December and felt very comfortable and warm in the hotel. The gardens are very relaxing after a day in the city.

Full praise for the staff, they were so welcoming, helpful and professional.
Thank you to Paula for her wonderful cakes, home made daily, we looked forward to them for breakfast each morning
The staff at the reception desk couldn't have been more helpful, especially Elisa for helping us choose restaurants, which were excellent on each occasion.
Roberto, the owner deserves great praise for running such an excellent establishment.
Thank you from PJ and Mary MacGabhann, Dublin, Ireland
