During both of my visits to this bistro, I found the food great and the welcome... lacking. Granted I had not made a reservation on either occasion, there was something a little off-putting about the way the owners (I think it was the owners) conducted themselves and interacted with their clients. During my second visit, after almost being turned away by one of them for not booking (in spite of it being fairly early in the evening and the dining room still being just about empty), I was invited to stay by the other, who later reprimanded me, however, for not stopping for dessert—an unsuccessful attempt at humor. Overall, I was gone before any of the tables were needed or occupied. While I was pleased with the food I had been served, I was also left with the feeling that the whole situation had been mismanaged and that I had been rushed for no good reason. I am pointing this out simply in hopes that management will try to be a little friendlier and more easygoing from now on. The food is exceptionally good, high-quality and reasonably-priced for Bologna, and it's a great diversion from the usual fare. I'm rating the restaurant four out of five stars, but hope to correct this (either up or down) with another review sometime in the future. Zenzero Bistrot is a five-star eatery waiting to happen.
