We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting our son at the University. The staff were universially friendly and helpful. To begin with, they all spoke English which was great because we didn't know any Italian. That characteristic would have been enough to rate them highly. However, they all were also incredibly helpful and cheerful despite being busy. We came away smiling even after asking them the simplest question. The other aspects of the hotel were fine as well. It is a business hotel so you don't get elegance and it's located in the business district, but everything seem very new, the bed was comfortable and weren't woken up by noise. I also made use of the exercise room each day which was equipped in a similar fashion to those in the States. One very minor quibble would be to turn the treadmill around so I didn't have to watch TV in the mirror. Note that it is not within walking distance of the downtown area. However, the bus ride into town was very straightforward and they ran very frequently. It may seem strange to stay in a Holiday Inn while in Italy, but the people at this hotel couldn't have made us feel more welcome.
