This trattoria was so close to our rental apartment that we had to try it, especially since it was recommended to us by the previous renters. We're glad we followed their advice and ate here. It's ac casual place where a variety of age groups met, including our family of four (children aged 12 and 9).
Two of us shared a mixed salad and the flank steak. Another ordered grilled vegetables and pasta bolognese. The other ordered gramigna (pasta) and cinghiale (wild boar). We loved the flank steak. The cinghiale was deemed "good" (but not excellent). All of the pastas were great. We ordered a pear tart for dessert (shared four ways) and even though it was very good, we were so full that we couldn't finish the tart.
The service was okay; a couple of times our waitress suddenly left us in mid-order to greet incoming patrons, which made me feel a bit slighted. The place was busy but not full. We ate indoors to escape the smokers outside (a common malady in Italy).
Our bill for 3 pastas, two contorni, 2 bottles of water,1 half-carafe red wine, and four "coperto" (cover charge at €3 ea) came to €62 total.
