We were led to this restaurant for lunch by a well informed local resident who wanted to show off the best, and it was superb! We started with rounds of antipasto being handed around the table family style, followed by the tagliatelli and other freshly made pastas - OMG - so good (and I was trying to show some eating restraint; on the other hand, it was the Mediterranean diet and maybe the more you eat, the healthier you get)! Nice red Sangiovese wine and some other wine choices handed around. After many courses and then an incredible round of desserts, we still had to finish off with chilled glasses of Limoncella. And then, of course, double espressos. For our group, ~2 hours later, we each paid 40 euros as a flat rate and it was worth every euro. Then we went back to work.... This was the real thing and explained the noon to 3 pm closures of many Italian businesses for "lunch" (not siesta!). You can pay much more for far less at any of the tourist ripoffs in Venice and other places but if you want a genuine and delicious experience, don't miss this Bologna trattoria! (I've added a few pictures from the meal - wish I had done a better documentation of this taste memory).
