Ryan did a great job relating various Vatican artwork and history to American culture, pointing out the statue that resembled Bill Clinton, the portrait of Sylvester Stallone in the Raphael rooms, and the inspiration for the Star Wars death star in the courtyard. The tour of the Vatican was well worth the reasonable cost. We got so much more from the experience than we could possibly have gotten by touring on our own. Ryan was clearly knowledgeable about a huge variety of the artwork on display in the Vatican Museums, and was able to answer questions about pieces not included in his regular tour itinerary, as well as general Vatican history. This is definitely a tour I would recommend to anyone wanting an overview of the Vatican.

It was my first time in Rome and I didn't want to miss anything! So I booked 4 tours (3 private, 1 group) with Presto! Yes, 4! Tiny expensive, but I don't regret it. I usually don't get tours in any of the city I visit. I have my guide book and I go where I want to go and see what I want to see. After this experience with Presto, I think the guide book is SOoooo boring! I thought the guides (persons) would be boring too... Not at all, all the contrary! Federica, Sandra, Ettorre and Sarah were our guides: they were FANTASTIC! They knew all the details and the secrets! They had their opinions about things (at last!), they were not recitating phrases from books, they adapted the tour to what we were interested in. They were passionate about what they were talking about. They gave us tips about restaurants, food, wine, museums... It was a really good experience! Don't miss it!

We took two tours with Presto: The Vatican and the Colliseum tours. Small group and great history provided by tour guide. Very comprehensive and definitely much better than the large groups we saw rushing through the Vatican trying to keep up with the guide. They looked like they didn't get a chance to view anything. Our guide was great and spent time on all key areas explaining in detail the features of the building or painting, answering questions as we went. Can't go wrong with Presto Tours.

We took the Vatican tour in mid-October. It was a wonderful tour. If you want to bypass the long lines, take this tour. It felt so good to walk right in, no hassles at all. The group was small and we really felt we received very personal service. Our guide Frederica was great. She is an expert in art history and was so knowledgeable and passionate about the amazing art that we saw. She took the time to speak directly with all the tour members throughout the morning. No umbrella in the air for this tour :-)

We were guided through the Vatican museums, seeing all the highlights, including of course the Sistine Chapel. We also entered St. Peters, and Frederica took time to share some of the highlights. She left us there at the end of the morning, so that we could browse around at our leisure.

I highly recommend Presto Tours for your vacation. And this Vatican tour is wonderful, bypassing the line, seeing all the highlights, personal service, knowledgeable and passionate guide, and reasonably priced. Can't get better than that!!
