My daughter,son-in-law, and I were with Ryan on June 13 on an 8:45 AM tour of the Vatican museums and St. Peter's. He was absolutely amazing, as he guided our group through- informative, humorous, professional!! We all want to come back to have him show us more of Rome. We went on for a 12 day tour of Italy, and none of our guides matched Ryan!!!

My sisters and I visited Rome and Vatican City in late November 2009. We booked our Presto tour of the Vatican after reading the reviews here, and we weren't disappointed. Our guide Ryan (you'll see his name a lot here) gave us such a thorough tour that we felt like we got more out of the 3 hours with him than if we'd spent several days there without him. He was charming, knowledgeable, considerate, and well prepared. Presto was smart to keep in on during off-peak season! ;)

Presto Tours uses those radios with ear pieces to deliver the commentary of the guide as you walk through the Vatican. I think it makes for a much more enjoyable experience than trying to hear over other groups. I've toured the Vatican both ways, and I would highly recommend Presto's method. Our guide was knowledgeable and kept the group moving. You can never see it all in one three hour tour, but at least I could hear everything that the guide was saying.

This was our first time in Rome celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary and we wanted to make sure that we made the best use of the two full days that we had. My wife had seen Presto Tours advertised in a magazine so we visited the web site and read some reviews which sounded very good. The tour prices also seemed comparable to other operators and we liked the idea of smaller groups. We proceded to book a Vatican City and Colleseum tour.
The information prior to trip from Presto was very informative, giving precise instructions and pictures indicating meeting points (a good idea to make you feel comfortable from the start.
As for the tours themselves....what can we add to the many positive comments already posted. Both tour guides were at the meeting points on time, which was a good start.
The Vatican tour was led by Frederika who was very pleasant and has immense knowledge of art history. The use of headsets was fantastic with so many people around as she was able to continue walking and talking through the tour stopping at certain points that needed more time to explain.
The Colleseum tour was led by Mitra who was also very pleasant and witty. Her knowledge of other Roman history was tested and she came up with the answers, in fact, by her own admission if given the chance, she would sometimes start to discuss other subjects. This, however, added to the enjoyment of the tour. One BIG advantage is the 'fast track' access to the Colleseum, well done Mitra!!!
Overall, a very enjoable experience with Prest Tours. We would highly recommend Presto Tours if you want to understand more about the areas of interest. Good value for money, with small intimate groups (when you see other tours, you will understand!!)
