“Nice hotel in quiet location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2012

We stayed at this hotel while on a Shearings coach holiday. The rooms are modern, comfortable, spacious and clean. Our set 3 course dinner was rather small, with only a piece of fruit for sweet. Breakfast was better, but laid out in a very muddled way so it was hard to see the choice properly, and the coffee machine was slow. Lovely views from the rooftop terrace, and nice pool & outside sitting area, all well away from the traffic. 40 min walk to the Vatican. Drinks at the bar & in the restaurant too high so we did not buy any. Shops only a short walk away.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony

Excelente hotel!!

This is a wonderful hotel!!! It is located in a nice residential area in Rome, close to the Vatican, several cafes, restaurants and stores. You can either take the bus or go walking to St. Peter's Square. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the amenities and hotel areas are in excellent conditions. The breakfast, even though does not offer too many choices, is hearty and the cafeteria area is large and accommodating. The staff is awesome. They are cheerful, helpful, and kind (specially Sabina, Sara y Federico, who work at the front desk). They speak several languages (including Spanish) and they strive to help you in everything you may need. The only thing they should improve is the WiFi connectivity, but other than that the hotel is excellent. I recommend it 110%.

Stayed here for 1 night only after a weeks cruise. Its a taxi trip (don't pay any more than 13 euro) in to the vatican. Very clean and modern hotel. The staff quiet helpful. The only downfall was the price of drink was very expensive. The rooms bright and spotless. Very little channels on the TV. Breakfast was very nice. A good variety of food.

We stayed here for the first week of August. We had 3 rooms as we had our 3 teenage/young adult children with us. We found previous reviews on here very useful especially about the shuttle from the airport and using the local buses! Although it isn't very close to the centre of Rome, it only takes minutes on the local buses which stop in the main square (about 5-10 minute walk). The 'Tabacchi' shop en route sells bus tickets which cost 1.50 Euros each. You could walk to St. Peters/Vatican City but it was very hot when we were there so we didn't bother.

There is a big supermarket in the main square which is open every day till about 8 p.m.

The hotel itself is clean and functional. Breakfast was a bit chaotic as it's a self service buffet and there weren't always enough staff so things ran out which meant you had to ask then wait for them to be replenished. It was never a problem though.

The outside pool is large enough and there are plenty of chairs/tables/sunloungers. The rooftop terrace has spectacular views of St. Peter's and there is a bar up there which is open in the evenings. We found that the prices varied considerably depending on who was serving you so we started to buy wine and beer in the supermarket and had them on our balcony which had the same view as the rooftop terrace. The beds are very hard!

There are lots of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel so we never minded not being in the centre of Rome. We took a taxi to the Hard Rock Cafe one evening and I think it cost less than 20 Euros.

All in all it was a pleasant trip and I would stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view as some of the rooms look out over the pool and in turn St. Peters but ot...

Hotel clean, room good, good value for money, good position close to main bus route. Swimming pool and sitting areas good, breakfast good the only down side is there is very limited evening meal only pizza or rolls. The other issue was the hotel said they did not have an agreement with easy to book thus spent an hour on check out to resolve this with easy to book and the hotel. My cerdit card had already been debited the full amount for the hotel room, the easy to book lady was very helpful and the misunderstanding was sorted by easy to book in the end however if we had not checked out when we did we could have missed our flight.

The amenities and decor are top notch. Service is 5 star (especially emberto). Great shower, awesome air, lovely beds and sheets, grand balconies... So many comforts, like coffee makers, so close to metro, free wifi in room and good restaurant , etc..... It was so comfortable, we decided to extend our stay. It's not walking distance to the tourist area, but we really liked that. We had a car and needed parking. This place had plenty parking around and safe. We loved it and recommend way over the hotels in Rome.
