I've not long been back from this strange little hotel. It’s hidden away in what is really a small apartment block with each floor belonging to different companies, don’t let this put you off though it has its own secure entrance hall on its floor and cameras along all the main areas. These aren't as obtrusive as other guests have made them out to be, I wouldn’t have noticed them if I hadn’t read other reviews on this site before going, and id imagine anyone else who has worked in a busy office environment wouldn’t notice them either. I’m sure these are just a precaution in such a small hotel which isn’t staffed all day.
The rooms are lovely and far better then I had expected in Rome, they are both clean and in beautiful modern condition. I do admit the showers are a bit sparse on hot water, but they are warm enough to shower in comfortably. Our balcony didn’t offer much of a view, but its nice to have it open and have some breeze going through.
The breakfasts were of the traditional Rome variety, which means very bitter juices a cake, toast and a selection of cold meat and porridge type dishes, this was a little odd to me but "When in Rome ...".
The lady who helps with breakfast and cleans the rooms couldn’t be more helpful with good English and a very happy outlook she gives you a very welcome greeting each morning. She was also accommodating allowing us to leave our luggage inside the secure complex for the entire day on our day of departure.
Then there is the hotels shining feature, its location. Being almost right next to (although not close enough to hear) the termini (train station) you’re right in the heart of Rome , with almost every tourist sight within walking distance. I think we saw everything we went to see and didn’t have to get a single bus/taxi for the entire time. This includes the across town trek to the Vatican which with the map supplied by the hotel was superb, as the map gives all the road names as well as graphical representations of tourist attractions, which is a big bonus in a foreign city and means you don’t have to go far to see something and really helps you make the most of any trip.
I'd certainly come to Rome again, and id stay here again without a doubt. It’s a lovely clean hotel in the heart of Rome where you want to be, what more can you ask for?
