“Save your time, money, and appetite”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2012

We tried this place twice after long days of site seeing since it is very close to our hotel. The first time we were seated outside, and while I thought the staff was a little rude and didn't hurry to get us the menu, place settings, or take our order, the food was okay for a pretty cheap price.
We returned a few days later and were seated inside as it was pretty busy. We waited to get the menu again, and waited more to order. But, that was nothing compared to what we would wait to get our food. We ordered a simple pasta dish and a risotto, and in the hour that we waited to get them, two six-top tables of locals were seated and ordered. One of the tables received their first course of pasta dishes 20 minutes before we received ours. A few minutes before our food came out I told my husband that if the other six-top got their food first as well we were walking out. About 10 minutes later our food finally arrived, just as they brought out the food for the other table. My husband had ordered a pizza for after the pasta, and the waitstaff had the intuition to know that we were very unhappy, their solution? To ask if we wanted the pizza at all (15 minutes after we had received our pasta dish, meaning it hadn't even been started yet). The answer was a, "no, just the check."
If you are hungry, spend your money at a better establishment!

“Waiters seem stressed but their clam pasta was superb!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2012

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel. Seems a lot of people like eating here. But I wasn't happy with the service. Too slow. And the waiters seem to be barking instructions too loudly for comfort. One acted particularly stressed... and this stressed me too. I couldn't figure out why this was recommended until I tried their pasta with clams/seafood. Yummy! But if you don't go for that dish, go somewhere else.

“Good pizzeria in central Rome”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2012

Been there with a group of friends. Service was prompt but rather casual. Pizza was well presented and tasty, certainly a plus. Staters were average, very filling but heavy.
The ambience is rather stale, I think the name (fifties) might be suggested by the furnishing (which indeed needs some revamping), as there was nothing else reminding it.
Most of the customers were groups. Prices are average, considering the location I think it is a good value choiche for dining in Rome in a casual environment, but nothing else.
