“Average food quite expensive”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013 via mobile

Not a great meal. Started with salads and at nearly eight euros a plate I think was a little expensive . Artichoke salad was worth the try though . Main course was spring lamb and a little fatty and not a lot for fourteen euros and my wife had the veal , fatty again. No wasn't that impressed and don't like the two euros for bread each when we didn't eat any. So not great

“Excelent restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013

I enjoyed this restaurant very much! I went there 3 times in my last visit to Rome. Excelent food, Excelent atmosfere and very kind and happy staff. I had to wait outside for 10 minutes for a table but it was worth it. Very good antipasti, very good pizza and the best beef with gorgonzela i had. The price is very reasnable. Lizi

“What a gem!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013

After reading the advice of TA I headed here for a long lunch with my mum last week and we were delighted with the choice! The house prosecco was delicious and the service was great! We had a pasta each puttanesca and al goia! Amazing and so delicious, we then shared an osso bucco which was also delicious! Bread is given to you and you are charged for it! But the experience and food was great! So good we went back for lunch a second time, that time we shared a goia risotto and a pizza! The risotto was the best I have ever had and wish I could recreate it! Go there they are lovely and the food is great!

“25 years of frequenting Pisciapiano Gioia Mia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

I have lived in Rome on and off over the years. The first time I ate at Pisciapiano Gioia Mia was around the year 1988, and I have been going ever since - both when living in Rome and when visiting. Even after a long absence, the staff, especially Mario, always welcome me like an old friend. There's a wide choice of dishes - pasta, pizza, main courses - and my family and I have never been disappointed. My preferred dishes are the salmon tagliatelle and the self-assembled vegetable antipasto. On a recent visit, my daughter's pasta was slightly too "al dente" for her taste; we said as much and it was immediately made again, this time cooked a little longer. We always go early for dinner - 7 PM, 7:30 max - as by 8:00 there is usually a waiting line.
