“Classic Roman”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

Just out of the Trastevere caos, along the Via della Lungara, just...before the Regina Coeli prison.
Miraggio is one of the few traditional atmosphere Roman trattoria...has not changed in decade and the food is always good. Easy to see famed artists as Achille Bonito Oliva having dinner with friends along with flocks of young tourists. The menù reflects the Roman classic dishes from the pastato the meats or fish. Good local Olevano wine. Good deserts and fast & friendly service.

“dinner roman style”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2013

We went to this restaurant based on the recommendation of a couple of Americans living in Rome that we met while having a glass of wine in trastevere. It was just what were were looking for! Great pasta, reasonably priced, where the locals dine? It was delicious, just what we wanted.

“Local place with superb Roman cuisine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

Over the last years we visited Miraggio several times and keep returning at least once when we are visiting Rome. It is a restaurant where locals come with their families to enjoy honest food and Roman cuisine.
Brocolletti soup with fish or soup with "vongole" is superb and their wood-oven baked pizza's are excellent. Try something different and go for "pizza radicchio and gorgonzola", you will not be disappointed. Or for something more harty, try the steak "fiorentina" but be sure to have enough room forit :-)

Great place.

“Wonderful Four Cheese Pasta”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

It took me months to try this restaurant even though I lived right around the corner, but I was so glad when I did! The first time I went I ordered the four cheese pasta, and it was amazing! Definitely one of my favorite pasta dishes it Rome, and a nice change from the usual Roman dishes. Everything else I tried was also delicious. Once for dessert I had these fried dough balls with nutella, which were heavenly! This place is very popular with locals and fills up quickly later in the evening, so you may want to go early.
