“Great food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2014

Really good food. Not the typical tourist menu. I had a group of 5 people we all had different dishes and they were all excellent. Attention to detail to the food is great. Our waiter was not great. Short guy with a beard and a pony tail was condescending. We are American but have been to Italy many times...actually speak pretty good Italian (2nd language for some in the party). The waiter was a jerk. Thought he was smarter than everybody else. With that said the rest of the staff was fantastic. We had a couple of women that work there check on us every few minutes and actually smile.

Food is worth it. Check it out.

“As good as it gets in Campo Dei Fiori area”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2014

It is not a mystery that Italy offers the best food in the world and im not exaggerating! However, it is also true that in tourist areas, Italy is renowned for offering some very poor quality food purely because they know that tourists...well they will eat just about anything simply because they are in Italy.

Ditirambo is not one of these places and again this is one of those places that, considering the location (a tourist trap like Campo dei Fiori) it offers some good food, good wine selection, good service and overall good value.

We went on a Fish menu and were quite happy. Started with an octopus and ginger salad and the grilled octopus on spinach puree. Delicious! And then we ate the spaghetti with mint prawns which to my surprise was good! To top it all off we got the Mille Foglie with zabaione, hazelnut and chocolate, the Mille Foglie with strawberries and the homemade Tiramisu. All 3 exquisite. The bottle of the wine for the night was from Friuli - a Refosco from Ronco delle Betulle.

Give it a go you wont be disappointed. Oh and make an appointment - this place gets very busy!

“Delicious food, friendly service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2014

Excellent little restaurant very close to the Campo De' Fiori. The food is much better here than at any of the restaurants in the nearby square. We stopped in for an early dinner one evening and sat in the small outdoor seating section. Service was good and friendly. Food was excellent, some of the best we had during our 9-night stay in Rome. A reservation is probably necessary as we noticed it was packed every other time we walked past it. Prices were reasonable, maybe a little on the high side but the food was worth it. The tiramisu was excellent as well!

“Favorite dinner in Rome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

Of our 4 dinners in Rome, this was our favorite. Our server was very attentive and made some great suggestions. For a starter, we had the vegetarian sampler. For dinner, I had lasagna and my husband had seafood pasta. Dessert was a chocolate trio. Everything was excellent. Great service, great food, great wine. Definitely recommend.

“An all rounder!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2014

This restaurant was recommended to us by our guide Stefania who also suggested we should make a reservation. I am glad we did because it was full with clients waiting outside. No surprise either. The ambience was welcoming, the staff had ample time for all their guests and above all the food was just amazing. I love fish and I ordered what was recommended to me by their staff, speciality of the day. Starter and dessert were attractively presented and were both delicious. Wine chosen, again according to their recommendation, was perfect. And above all, the price was moderate especially compared to the sour experience of the night before at TULIO'S. We ate at this restaurant in March and I will definitely be going back to eat there again on my next visit to Rome!
