“Very pleasant wine bar”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013

It is a typical place where you can get enjoy your wine as well as your food.
It offers mainly first plates: all extremely tasteful.
I would reccomend going there for a nice afternoon wine. It is generally always full during dinner and lunch hours as it is a very well known place among us romans.

For a pleasant afternoon wine: Legrein (any) and some patè (they have 3 mix patè plate where you can chose the ones you like most) the bread for the patè's is slightly crunchy for those of you who have soft teeth! (It is technically a french/italian restaurant.
Our total was: around 30euro. Wine was 19 (although they have very cheap ones aswell) and mix patè for around 10.

Very affordable!

“Granma's kitchen and a wine list from heaven”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013

This place is a must in Rome. The kitchen is rural, original italien dishes like granma makes them, if you are lucky. The homemade patés are lovely and the cheese card is enormous. So is the wine list that covers all of Italy and some of France. I always have the polpette (meatballs) with a most sinful mash, which is marvelous. Also try the vacchinara alla Romana (ox tail roman style) or the beef stew if you want to go authentic.

“We went twice in 5 days!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

Situated in the Piazza Navona area just off Corso Vittorio Emanuele. Excellent selection of wines ~ the biggest wine list we had ever seen, with good, knowledgeable advice on hand. For wine lovers it's an Aladdin's cave and lots of wines are available by the glass, including some wonderful sweet wines to go with dessert. Lovely wholesome rustic food, served inside or out. We enjoyed sitting outside where there were heaters to keep the chill off in the Feb months. We had anti pasti which was really tasty with a variety of meats and cheeses, we had the sundried tomatoes too. For mains, we enjoyed the lasagne and for dessert, the orange tart was to die for!
On the Sunday afternoon, our second visit, people were happy to queue it is so good!

“Drink and snack, great location!”

We just stopped by here and had a few glasses of wine and a cheese plate. Service was great, the selection of wine was huge and the staff was great.

“Just love this quaint little spot!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

it is great for a casual Roman lunch... Please order the lasagna, you will thank me after. They have a list of over 300 wines. What I love the most of this Enoteca is that everything can be shared, like "Italian tapas".
