Great hotel standard, especially in comparison to some 4* hotels in Rome! Room was large compared to local standard, clean and modern. Friendly and very helpful staff. Breakfast okay. Good location, off the tourist centre but close enough to explore all the sights within only a few metro stops.

We stayed for 3 nights at Re di Roma, and really enjoyed it. The hotel is a bit hard to find, as it appears that their main sign wasn't up, so look for the red awnings! Just a block from the metro, and only a few metro stops from the main Rome sights, this is a great spot to stay. It's out of the craziness of the touristy areas, but close enough that you can get anywhere quickly. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They recommended some really good restaurants in walking distance from the hotel, which we took advantage of. The rooms are decent sized and very clean. Great climate control allowed us to get the room nice and chilly to cool off from the HOT Roman afternoons. Good value and location. Now, if only we'd actually had our luggage those three days... got to love the airlines.

I love the Hotel Re di Roma. My wife and I had a horrible experience getting to the hotel from the airport. The airport shuttle driver left us in the wrong part of town and we had to take a bus and the metro with 4 pieces of luggage to get to the hotel. We arrived sweaty and exhausted and we looked like hell. Giorgio, the front desk manager, told us to sit down and gave us bottles of water. He helped us contact Expedia to complain about the shuttle and did everything to make sure that our stay went well. Eugenio and Lara are the owners and they are also great people.
The hotel rooms are newly renovated, clean and large. The furniture was perfect for the room and we had a balcony which was perfect. Breakfast was included and was very good. I could go on forever about how good the hotel was but why bore you. Suffice to say that everything considered it is the best hotel that I have stayed at in Europe. Again, the staff are great. For my money, it is the only place to stay in Rome!!

This hotel is 4 metro stops from the train station outside of Rome. The metro stop is on the corner of Via Vercelli, the street that Re di Roma is on.

The hotel is very clean and very contemporary with low, *very* firm beds, a small flat panel TV, and a mini bar. The bathroom is small (made smaller by the addition of a bidet) and the shower has no curtain, so expect the floor to get wet when you shower. The included breakfast is basic with fresh fruits, cereals, yogurts, juice, and a machine that dispenses hot coffees (cappuccino, espresso, etc.).

The staff is wonderful. Just ask and they will make sure it happens. One day it rained, and they had free ponchos at the front desk. We asked for tea in the evenings, and received a nice tea service with cookies at no charge! They were very friendly and spoke English with ease.

All in all this was a very nice hotel. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rome.
