Do NOT expect what you see in picture on the web. NOTHING in this hotel was functioning properly: no air conditiioning, no elevator, no functional television, barely functional plumbing! Extremely small rooms, many with no windows. It is clean and the staff are nice, but of course they don't have to stay in the rooms. Altogether a huge waste of money, will never return.

Just got back from an amazing trip to Europe but unfortunately the trip ended in Rome in Piazza Venezia Hotel for two days. First of all, what you see on the internet is a total lie, the rooms are absolutely so different, its extremely so small, me & my husband couldn't move in the room at the same time really, in addition to the horrible bathroom with the shower that has no cabin just a curtain that floods the whole floor with water and i had to wipe it all before the water gets to the main room.
In addition to our room's location that is just beside a public bathroom, so whenever anyone gets to the bathroom we hear everything when anyone gets inside, the doors opening & closing,flushing the toilet, just everything it was horrible.
And its actually the first time for me to stay in a hotel that serves no breakfast.
But to be quite honest the hotel's location is just perfect, right in the middle of everything.
But if you want a comfortable stay, DON'T GO TO PIAZZA VENEZIA ROME!!!!

The reception area was scruffy. The room was miniscule, dark and gloomy. The washbasin was cracked and taps dripped. The shower was over a hip bath and the shower head fell off the moment water was turned on or off. The loo dripped all night long. Bathroom was so small and cramped you could not move. Air conditioning was non existant. The photos on the web do not represent anything I saw! Bedding was clean , staff were friendly and helpful but no way would I stay there again

My bestfriend & I traveled through Europe for a month in June of 08. We were in Florence & booked this hotel at the very last minute. We thought we were going to get a total dump but it turned out to be one of the best hotels of our trip. It was clean not spick and span but definitely clean. You absolutely can't beat the location. We walked everywhere. You can literally walk to every single sight except the Vatican which was a very short bus ride. There was a TV in the room that actually worked. The bathroom did have a kinda funky scent to it but only the bathroom not the room. Just a musky smell. The hotel however was in the perfect location with a great price! I would highly recommend it to anyone. It's no romantic hideaway but definitely a great hotel for those traveling through Europe. We were 2 girls from O.C. and we were just fine there!
