We stayed here for 3 nights in November. The location is good. Close to the Colliseum and the Form. However, the website is misleading. It shows the delux suite (which we booked) with views over the Forum. I think this was photoshopped because there is no view. It is impossible due to the hotel's position. The kitchen is useless because it is not stocked. We obtained the 'kitchen kit' that you must ask for and it contained 1 strainer, 1 pot, 1 frying pan. No utensils, plates, glasses etc. We were trying to have some cheese and a bottle of wine in the afternoon but could not open the wine or slice the cheese. \
Definitely the worst part of the trip was the lack of hot water for 2 out of the 3 days. The front desk was notified several times but nothing was done (they flipped the switch on the hot water heater ). Anyway, settling the bill was interesting only 10% discount was offered on the balance of the bill.....peanuts when you haven't showered for 2 days. I would not stay here again or recommend.

  • Liked — Internet access was great. Suites were large

We stayed following our Med. cruise. The staff was friendly and so accommodating! They let us use their computer to access the internet to register for our flights home. Their recommendations for great food were spot on. The room was clean, bright, and had everything we needed (including small kitchen). The highlight however, was the location! You are right in the middle of historical Rome. Everything is within a walk from your room. There is an abundance of cafes, restaurants, shopping, and sites nearby. Great place...

The hotel is located 5-7 minutes walk to the Coliseum and the subway stops (Colosseo or Cavour).

Like: The location. Located in a small alley near lots of restaurants and ice cream parlors. Neigoborhood is interesting. Staff is friendly. Big bathroom for European standard.

Dislike: . It is rated 4 star, but It's more like a 3 star US standard, No sit down place for your in-room breakfast for two people. No cheese or cold cuts for breakfast. Hot water runs out before you get enough water for the bath. The street is noisy at night from the close by bars. Also I don't think I could find the place easily without the airport pickup.

I paid 200 euro a night for a Junior suite classic. Even it's called a suite, there is no kitchen, in case you wonder.

Probably can stay at a hotel less expensive.

We have just returned from four days in Rome. This hotel is great and the service was friendly and prompt. We stayed in the junior suite on level 4 which had its own bathroom and spacious bedroom. It did not have a kitchen like the other suites. The lovely continental spread is delivered to your room each morning. The rooftop terrach is lovely.

There is a trattoria and pizza restaurant on the street and we had were great meals at both. There is also an Irish pub next door.

Location was convienient close to major attractions. We used the railway to get to the Vatican, but walked to the trevi fountain etc.

  • Liked — The size of the room.
  • Disliked — Nothing really.

We stayed in close to 20 different hotels during our European adventure and this was close to being the best of them.

It's more of a serviced apartment than a hotel, but it includes a breakfast (ordered the night before and served in your room) and a 24-hour concierge. The best thing about Palazzetto degli Artisti is the staff, they are really warm, helpful and attentive. On arrival there was a problem with our online reservation (we had our young daughter with us and she hadn't shown up on the booking) but... no problem, they just upgraded us to a larger suite. Giussiepi the doorman was a character and always asking if we needed something - and he wouldn't even take a tip.

The rooms themselves are recently upgraded, very clean and quite spacious. There's a mini bar and snack bar (at standard hotel prices, mind you) and even a washing machine, though we didn't use it. The location of the hotel is great, a very short walk to the Colloseum, Palatine Hill and Imperial Forum, great for history lovers like us. There are a string of wonderful eateries along the same street too, an Irish pub next door, some good gelati places and tourist shops literally seconds away.

If there is a problem it's that the Suites are a little hard to find initially, but don't let that put you off. If I was going to Rome again, I would definitely try here first.
