We have just returned from four days in Rome. This hotel is great and the service was friendly and prompt. We stayed in the junior suite on level 4 which had its own bathroom and spacious bedroom. It did not have a kitchen like the other suites. The lovely continental spread is delivered to your room each morning. The rooftop terrach is lovely.

There is a trattoria and pizza restaurant on the street and we had were great meals at both. There is also an Irish pub next door.

Location was convienient close to major attractions. We used the railway to get to the Vatican, but walked to the trevi fountain etc.

We stayed in close to 20 different hotels during our European adventure and this was close to being the best of them.

It's more of a serviced apartment than a hotel, but it includes a breakfast (ordered the night before and served in your room) and a 24-hour concierge. The best thing about Palazzetto degli Artisti is the staff, they are really warm, helpful and attentive. On arrival there was a problem with our online reservation (we had our young daughter with us and she hadn't shown up on the booking) but... no problem, they just upgraded us to a larger suite. Giussiepi the doorman was a character and always asking if we needed something - and he wouldn't even take a tip.

The rooms themselves are recently upgraded, very clean and quite spacious. There's a mini bar and snack bar (at standard hotel prices, mind you) and even a washing machine, though we didn't use it. The location of the hotel is great, a very short walk to the Colloseum, Palatine Hill and Imperial Forum, great for history lovers like us. There are a string of wonderful eateries along the same street too, an Irish pub next door, some good gelati places and tourist shops literally seconds away.

If there is a problem it's that the Suites are a little hard to find initially, but don't let that put you off. If I was going to Rome again, I would definitely try here first.

Hi, we have just returned from a four night stay at this beautifully located aparthotel. Four of us stayed in Suite 11- which is quite spacious with a dining table to eat breakfast and a separate bedroom with dressing area. There is ample wardrobe/hanging space . This suite also has a double sofa bed, small kitchen (see review for suite no 7- kitchen appears to be the same) with a washing machine, fridge, sink, oven and hob. The shower room is small but clean and bright with plenty of complementary shower gels and lotions, etc. There is no microwave as advertised and the 'kitchen pack ' does not stretch to include a kettle amongst other things. To be fair we didn't ask after the 'missing' items as we retained these from the lovely breakfast delivered to our room the following morning. A travel kettle would have speeded up the making of a much needed cup of tea after all the sight seeing though. ....and is something I would pack for next time. The staff are very smiley , approachable and helpful. We were originally given Suite 12 - ( which is also lovely - and has excellent views as it is located on 4th floor but does not have a kitchen - ) with much apologies we were speedily moved the larger deluxe suite 11 ( which was what we had booked - see photos on hotel's own website) The rooms are clean and contemporary furnished and the location is absolutely excellent. We paid a special offer rate of 200 euros per night for the suite, sleeping four with breakfast, which we feel was excellent value for the service, location and quality of accommodation. Air conditioning and a roof terrace to admire the spectacular skyline are additional assets this hotel offers guests. I would be more than happy to recommend this as an ideal place to stay in Rome ... I will not hesitate to book again for our next trip.!!! The Venere.com website has some good reviews on this place too!
