Worst customer service !!! first of all we reserved the hotel few months in advanced at the end when we arrived they gave us something we didnt request. dont trust what the website said about location because is not in the downtown rome, ugly area, the hotel smells terrible!!! the location is ghetto and dangerous!! we were scared to stay there!

we request a double room with private bathroom. at the end our room did not have a bathroom, nor remote control, telephone, trash can, nor enough space to put our bags. it was completely opposite from what we expect and reserve. our room wasnt on the same building we have to go outside to the street and walk to the other side of the building not a nice area for tourist. the other building didnt have a concierge or house phone to reach the front desk.

the customer service was the worst customer service i've ever had in my life! they dont even care about tourist. at first we accept the different room because we didnt a place to stay but after seen the few things missing we complained and refused to pay the rate we had and they only wanted to give me 20 euro discount for 3 nights what a joke!! i have to used my cell phone and pay international roaming to called the front desk because it didnt has a telephone. then they gave us a private bathroom on the hallway which we didnt like it at all, then the key from bathroom didnt work at all so i had to reach someone from the hotel but i was on the other building were there is not concierge or anyone to help you. so i had to walked 3min in a dangerous area to reach the front desk.

then at the end i found a different hotel and make a reservation because to be sincere i was affraid to stay there, they didnt wanted to give me a refund and refuse to cancel my reservation after all the incoveniences. PLEASE DONT STAY HERE!!! ugly hotel with terrible customer service.

We spent for nights in the hotel. The hotel is located on the thrid floor of an old house in the center of Rome, near the main train station - Colosseum is definitely walking distance. You should look for the house number 44 as the hotel is not signed from the outside. Rooms are small but nice and tidy, more than enough for a good night sleep after sighseeing and/or party. As the hotel has only a few rooms they were very careful with the space, so in the morning you can hear others coming/leaving or taking a shower - ask for rooms at the back as they are a bit quiter, our was too close to the reception. Also they don cahnge towels at all, which might not be the best practice. They serve breakfast in the room, however it is good only to survive until the first cafeteria - anyway Italian standard. Staff is extremely helpful and are ready to give good ideas what to do during the day.

Absolutely wonderful and very charming little hotel in the heart of Rome. Staying there was part of why our trip to Rome was so fantastic. A lovely and very helpful staff who was always ready to answer to our questions and who tended to our every need.
The rooms were nice, clean and modern, the bathroom, also always very nice and clean with everything functioning as is should.
Breakfast served directly in the room as a part of the price, now that's what I call roomservice.
I highly recommend Auditorium de Mecenate to anyone travelling to Rome, who wishes to save on the accomodation, but still wants a perfect hotel room to return to.

Extremely helpful and accommodating staff, We found Ali speaks very good english and was very helpful in letting us know where to go and see on our visit.
The Location was great and in easy reach of all we needed to do and very close to the train station.
For the price and star rating the room was very good and clean and breakfast was brought to you room when you called reception it was basic but was a good start to your day.
We would use this hotel again and would recommend this hotel to our friends.
