“Great for a city break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

Arrived in Rome at Termini station. Hotel was a 10 minute walk from station. Upon arrival the staff were brilliant, the Owner Fabrizio was very helpfull and very polite. He helped us break down Rome on map and recommended a few restaurants and bars, of which ask him about a restaurant "Vecchio Roma" AMAZING!!
We had booked standard room for 3 nights. Room and bathroom was a little small but good value for money after all we didn't go to rome for the room. Every morning we had breakfast delivered to our door with any hot drink of your choice, orange juice, cakes and bread.
The hotel is in a great location metro station is one road away which will take you to all major attractions. The Coliseum is a 10 minute walk away. We booked the ROMA PASS before arriving in Italy, I strongly reccommend the pass. You get free entry to Coliseum, Roman forum etc aswell as que jump, which believe you will need for Coliseum, the que was around a 2 hour wait! You also get free travel on metro and buses around Rome which was perfect as hotel was very close to Metro station.
On our last night the hotel gave us an upgrade to a bigger room with the painted ceiling, an amazing room, alot more spacious.
The only con's i can think of is that rooms 1-3 are very close to the reception area and you can hear talking which sometimes woke me. and the double bed was actually 2 singles pushed together.

All in all this is a decent hotel and the staff were brilliant could not fault them one bit. Great location and would recommend.

The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to make your stay very enjoyable. They do an excellent job with directions, dinner recommendations, and sightseeing tips. The hotel is in a good location. The rooms are nicely modern.

I really enjoyed staying here and loved Mirela and her staff. When we arrived we had just come from a 5-hour train ride and were hoping to freshen up. Thankfully our room was ready when we got there and that really helped us out a lot! After we were ready to go, Mirela spent some time telling us where to go and how to get there. Her recommendations worked out tremendously and it was much appreciated! She even gives you a map with the directions and a sheet with addresses for places to eat. We only found a few, but they were very good and having the map was a huge help!

The only downside about this hotel (for some people), it is not really for staying in and relaxing. It's perfect to take a shower, sleep, eat (especially breakfast in bed, you can't beat that) and go. There is so much to explore in Rome, why stay in the hotel room? There is some traffic and noise at night (and in the morning) but we listened to our iPods, so it wasn't an issue for us. I do have to agree with one of the reviews below though; if you are a light sleeper this might not be the place for you. Also keep in mind, it has a very small elevator (that could be questionable working wise) and I believe 3 flights of stairs to climb.

If I'm ever in Rome again, I will definitely make this one of my 1st choices to stay. Not to mention, it is not far from the train station and wasn't difficult to find. If you check out the tourist pictures on this site it helps in finding it as well.

Arrived at the hotel late Saturday night, walked from Termini station and the hotel was fairly easy to find.

The hotel is based on the 3rd floor, with a small lift available for access. The room we had initially overlooked an internal block of rooms, so not very scenic. The room was fairly basic looking, clean. The bathroom had sachets of soap, shower gel provided as well as a hairdryer. The shower and sink area could have done with a bit of a proper clean, there was some limescale, though overall room and bathroom cleanliness was acceptable.

Breakfast was fab, generous, with an option of a hot drink and once ready to explore the city Fabro gave us a run down of the city, transport, passes, and best sites to discover during our stay, also warning us of being careful with money etc. The map given was very handy and also some restaurants were suggested too.

On the last night we were offered another room courtesy of a bad experience, nothing to do with the hotel, and that room faced on to the street. The room was slightly bigger and had a beautiful painted ceiling, shutter windows and it was great to look out on to the street. However it's a fairly busy street that can be fairly nosiy with traffic all hours so sleep quality was poor due the noise.

In terms of location, the metro is no more that a 2-3min walk, colloseum about 15min walk and termini station is also about a 15min walk. the hotel is well placed to visit all parts of the city, all the major sites. Good choice of dining in the area too.

Overall, the hotel and the staff made our stay very enjoyable and made all the difference between a fab stay and good stay, definitely recommend this hotel.

Fine, clean room and bathroom, friendly, helpful staff; a wonderful continental breakfast served in the room; wi-fi, convenient location. The only thing holding back from an excellent rating is the noise level. It's on a busy street, with all night activity. If you're a city dweller and/or not bothered by street noise, this budget priced hotel is a perfect choice. Within walking distance to the Termini station, Coliseum, Forum and two of my favorite Rome attractions - San Pietro in Vincoli and Santa Maria Maggiore.

We stayed 5 nights here.

Pros:
- Friendly, polite and helpful staff
- Free good breakfast in the morning delivered to your room when you want

Cons:
- Hotel is in an old building and the elevator would give up sometimes
- Not very clean
- Not hot water for 3 days.
We were in room# 2 which is just next to the reception. It seems their hot water system broke down and we did not have hot water for 3 days. The staff kept blaming the couple next door who according to them were using lot of hot water. In any other decent hotel, this issue would have been resolved immediately.

Normally, we ignore this kind of issues when visiting any foreign country. But the amount the money they charged and the services they provided, it was not a good value for us.

If you are a light sleeper - positively avoid this room. The smallest sound at night is echoed, even
a receptionist chair movement. Otherwise - perfect spot for a singe person, small but efficient.
Pros: clean room and modern clean bathroom, comfortably firm bed (not too firm), internet works perfectly, modern accents from IKEA. Well, of course, a cappuccino by your bedside, safety - 5 meters from the door is a receptionist desk - 24/7, and the hotel staff, all of them, are wonderful and helpful.
Contras: overhead light might be more cheerful, and, like was mentioned by almost every review for this room - a lack of audio insulation.
Tips: no credit card for metro ticket/max change is 6 E (do not insert 50E bill :)).
There is a deli/minisupermarket across the street (one block farther from the square) - cheese, cold cuts, sweets, even vino in the fridge.
International phone call to US - 10c/minute - two doors on the right side from the hotel door.
