I stayed at Domus Victoria for two nights before joining an escorted tour of Italy. Everything was better than expected. The room was clean, comfortable, cozy. Decor was lovely, just like the pictures on the website, modern but not too spartan. Service was great before and after check-in. They arranged for a car service to pick me up at FCO and later to transfer me across town the tour's hotel. The driver was gracious enough to stop at an ATM (Bancomat) just down the street so I could get cash. I was greeted warmly by Elena . She offered me coffee and use of the Internet while I waited for my room to be ready. The room was larger than I expected for a single. I was nice to have a full sized bed. The bath was nice but the narrow shower was a bit of a challenge. Watch your elbows.
Domus Victoria is more of a "guest house", midway between a traditional B&B and and a Hostel. Breakfast is not served on site. You will be given a token to be used at a nearby cafe for and pastry and cappuchino. Some may find it lacking in amenities but I feel it was a great value. I paid only 105 Euro for 2 nights. The location was wonderful... very Roman. Its a busy urban neighborhood with lots of shops, cafes and street vendors during the day. It's an easy walk to Saint Mary Major and Termini. The streets were empty coming back late at night. I would recommend using a taxi at night if travelling alone.

We stayed for 5 nights in September. This is the common situation of an owner letting out rooms, staff sometimes available, and breakfast by a coupon for a cafe. We found our room quiet and clean. Our large window faced out on the courtyard. We were disturbed on one instance by loud talking in the courtyard, and an Italian women yelling at the boys to be quiet. Not that the owner can do anything about this, but provide A/C. We slept with the windows open as there was no A/C. Not much of a problem in September, but I would not have wanted to find myself here in August. I think the rooms on the other side of the hall would not be so quiet, as they faced onto the noisy street. The floor and bath were nicely tiled. The shower is very small, but the bath is private and we found this adequate. The breakfast is a coupon at a local cafe, and you will get just a pastry and a coffee. There is a wonderful bakery just down from the cafe with amazing desserts. At the end of the block is a very good restaurant. There is a lift for bringing up luggage. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately, we did not see the real owner the entire stay. The location is great - close to a Metro stop and easy to get around the city. If you are not here during the hot season, and you request the courtyard view, this is very adequate. The WiFI was nice and we talked with the fam back home on Skype. This is a good value place to stay. We found another B&B in the Termini area that has a wonderful live in host with a home made breakfast, a bigger bath, and A/C for slightly less money. See Giovy.

My stay at Domus Victoria was excellent. The hotel is located very near the Colesseum and therefore is quite a bargain at the rate offered. Flavia and her staff were excellent and very helpful in working with the airlines to coordinate delivery of my late luggage. Overall, highly recommended.

This B&B is about 15 mins walking from the train station (with luggage). The room was large and clean but had no A/C, which was a nightmare in Rome's August heat! I don't know why none of the other reveiwers have mentioned this. We had to open the window, letting all the nighttime noise in, which was not very condusive for sleeping.

There was also no phone in the room, but I think the hotel offered free wireless. Also, the breakfast was just a pastry and cappucinno at a nearby cafe-not very filling at all. There are probably better places to stay in Rome.
