The B&B is about a 15 minute walk from the train station through an "interesting" part of town. Two women with wheeled luggage had no problems walking there. The reception area is tiny but the staff was nice and helpful. Our room with 2 twin beds, a fold down desk, chair and wardrobe was very small but adequate for our needs. The bathroom was also fine. Breakfast was cakes, cookies, croissants, apples and coffee and juice from a machine. The hotel is a short walk away from a metro stop (Cavour). This is what I expect from a budget hotel. I was not disappointed.

B & B Hotel is in an old, but clean building with comfortable beds and friendly and helpful staff. The hotel only offers staff from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., so you are on your own after hours.

Our room and bathroom were large, much larger than I expected. There was a tub, but no shower (or American shower). There was a showerhead, but no door or curtain, so you had to sit in the tub to shower.

The breakfast was just sweet cakes and stuff, nothing that would get you going or keep you going until lunch. Thankfully, I brought instant oatmeal and we ate that. They also offered tea, coffee, hot coca, and OJ from a vending type machine. None of it was good, but this is a budget hotel, so one cannot complain too much. Over all, it was an acceptable hotel with comfortable rooms. In the end, we did not come to Rome to sleep or sit in our room, did we?

A helpful tip: If you arrive by train, do not take a cab to the hotel. Cabbie will tell you 25 EURO and 15-20 minutes, when in fact it is about 8 minutes drive and less than 10 EURO. Unless you have a lot of luggage, TAKE THE METRO! The closest Metro stop is about a 10-minute walk to the hotel. Save your money for sightseeing or gelato!

If you're in Rome purely to walk around sightseeing all day, this will serve the purpose. It's small, very bare, no views and outdated. Breakfast is served outside in the halfway; no staffed service, you take the food back to your room, coffee is from a vending machine. However, it's neat and seems clean. I would probably have preferred staying somewhere nearer to the Trevi (nice, buzzy environment) and in a hotel with a little more to offer so you feel like you're actually on holiday rather than on a school trip. It's a little like a dormitory, but good if you're on a really low budget. The location is a stone's throw from the Colloseum, but quite a walk to the Trevi, Pantheon and Spanish Steps.

I have and will always return to this B&B, it has all that I need and more.
Unlimited tea, coffee and pastry located outside the room so no need to rush for breakfast.
Perfectly well cleaned rooms, bright and very well aired.

Perfect location for wallking to all the main attractions
No porter but very safe and secure building
