B&B Hotel we wanted a quite European break, but the B&B hotel has very small rooms – small as in where the double bed has been slotted into the room - there is just the width of a small cabinet at each side and then it’s the wall. I don’t know which room is pictured on the web site, but the table was a fold down unit off the wall and seating was literally perching at the bottom of the bed. There are no chairs in the room.
Bathroom is small and confined, wedge yourself between the toilet roll holder and the single shower cubicle (which the shower head was impossible to secure in a fixed position) and you can use the toilet. Don’t use the hook adjacent the WC to hang clothes or towels, as this swivels of the wall and whatever was on it gets dumped into the loo.
Breakfast as promoted on the site is ‘A full buffet breakfast is included in the price and served to guests directly in their room’ Reality is a very basic (and I mean basic) continental breakfast which is left out on a table in the hall at which point they elect to plug in the coffee and fruit juice machines – after which they are promptly disconnected.
Its advertised as ‘Offering fantastic value for money, this low cost Rome accommodation provides the ideal option for travellers looking to make the best of Rome on a shoestring budget with some home comforts and luxuries thrown in there as well’ At 450 Euro for three nights bed and Breakfast, I must have a very different understandings of ‘Value for money’ notwithstanding the poor £ to Euro conversion, its still very expensive for what it is.
Its only good point is location being central you are ten minutes stroll away from most attractions. But it’s not the 500 yards (as advertised) away from the Termini. It’s a good twenty minute walk with your cases, nearer a mile than half a mile
Rooms are clean. Our room had security bars (Prison) and I assume the way in was the Fire Exit out? Because we couldn’t find any designated route
The ‘hotel’ appears to be on the first floor with residents living on the above floors. Ground floor ins a small receptions – small as ion when we checked in there were two people in reception checking in and I had to wait on the step because we couldn’t fit 4 people in.
Lastly don’t dare close the door firmly going out, or some bad tempered Italian guy who lives on the ground floor comes out after you, giving you instructions on how to close doors.
Would we return – I don’t think so, 10 minutes tube ride from the city there are better value, better facilities with four times the room size (no joke)

You may want to practice walking sideways in a broom closet before entering your room at B & B Hotel. We stayed there three nights and enjoyed every minute. Staff were unusually friendly and rooms were extremely clean. It was perfectly located, as we walked all over Rome from the hotel. It is tricky to find, and we passed it three times in both directions before finally finding it. We were looking for a regular door, but this hotel has a simple, one panel door in an apartment building with an obscure logo for the Hotel.

We arrived in the early morning and our room was minutes from being prepared, so we sat in the lobby and talked to the desk clerk who was handsome and wonderful. He helped us out immensely. Across the street on the upper left corner is a wonderful little shop, a Paniteria, the oldest in Rome. It is run by an elderly woman who was very proud she was still in business because she sold everything under the sun in a 2 x 4 store. It has been in business for over one hundred years and she has been there for 40 years. Where else in Rome can you get a large bottle of water frizzante for .70 Euros.

Some reviews were negative on breakfast, but my husband absolutely loved it . Every morning he woke up and darted down the hall sideways to grab his tray for coffee and pastries and a coffee for me waiting in the room for his return.

All in all it was a wonderful place to stay because of its perfect location, clean clean rooms, and great service staff.

Great central location at a reasonable price with air conditioning.

The hotel is perfectly clean but the facilities are neither ultra modern or of a high quality. The rooms are also very compact, but as I didn't go to Rome to hang out in a hotel, it was perfect for our needs.

The guys on the desk were also helpful enough (arranged cabs, directions etc) and breakfast was made up of very simple pastries, ham, cheese and coffee. Like the rooms, the breakfast was nothing great but adequate nonetheless.

If you go to Rome to enjoy the city itself, stay here. If you are going for a luxury hotel experience, stay elsewhere and expect to pay for it.

B&B Hotel is a tricky one to find reviews on, we booked through easy to book, which is porbably the most competitvly priced booking agent for rome we could find, its a very no frills way of booking your accom. And no frills sums up the B&B too. Pictures are certainly misleading the whole place is extremly compact! there's severe cracks all over, walls are paper thin, so wether you want to or not you will probably know your neighbours quite well after your stay. Breakfast is very average strictly sweet foods and not much choice taken from the hallway into your room, we didnt rate it much. Overall its ok if u want a crash pad within walking distance from termini station and all the incredible landmarks rome has to offer. Its clean but basic place to stay.

We stayed from 30th December to 4th January. The hotel is small and quite basic but very clean and the staff are helpful and friendly, I would recommend staying here.

It is a good base for exploring, within 5 minutes walk of the Colloseum and within easy reach of all the main sights.

The only negative was no tea / coffee making facilities in the room.
