Micaela is outrageously expensive for what you get. Plus you have the added attraction of her answering her cell phone throughout the tour. Her views are extremely biased, and she says little if anything about the art and architec ture of the ghetto area. She mainly spouts her biased political views for 3 hours. This is one of the biggest rip offs of our whole trip. We learned little about the area but a lot about her. Wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy.... well, maybe yes I would. Save your money and go on a more organized tour.

We had a great time with Micaela. She's thoroughly knowledgeable, approachable, friendly and truly interesting. This young woman knows her stuff!!! We started in the synagogue's very wonderful museum, then the synagogue itself, and concluded with a stroll through Rome's Jewish ghetto. Micaela brought life to the tour and her knowledge of Jewish Rome every step of the way.

This was well worth it and we'd highly recommend Micaela!

We visit Italy at least 2 times a year & could almost give tours of Rome ourselves. But relatives were joining us for the 1st time, so the decision was to 'do another tour', this time of the Jewish Ghetto. All 5 of us were all 'blown away' with Michaela's charm, enthusiasm, knowledge and friendliness. Her tour was a real treat & you felt like you were walking with an old 'native Roman' friend. She was absolutely fabulous & the entire group, of different ages, couldn't recommend her more highly. She knows her native city & subject matter thoroughly but conveys it in a enthusiastic & educational manner. Ok, enough said, you get the point - she's great & you couldn't ask for a more fun & worthwhile walk.

We just returned from two weeks in Italy and one of our favorite experiences was our tour of Jewish Rome with Micaela Pavoncella. As an active member of the Jewish community, she has a wonderful insight into the past, the present, and future. Everyone knows Micaela and she brought us together with several members of the community. We learned so much about the experience of the Jewish people in Rome. By the time we were finished we felt like part of the family. Her knowledge of the history of the ghetto was wonderful. She is so personable and vivacious. We recommend this highly.
