Great location as Metro is only a minutes walk away, and lots of shops around, as well as being very near to the Vatican. It's also a pleasant walk into the main touristy areas of Rome and takes about 30mins or so. The room was of a good standard as shown and described on their websites, a little bit small as there was enough room to walk around the bed and get to the desk and wardrobe, etc but not much else. We had a nice big window looking down to the street, with shutters, but they never seemed to stay open, which meant the room was a bit dark. The bathroom was well equiped but very small, and a bit of a leaky shower screen, and they could also do with somewhere to hang things or a shelf or two in there. Free bar was a lovely little touch.

The only downside we found was that breakfast was only available after 8am, and had to be ordered the night before, before 8pm although you are not told this, so we ended up missing it on our first morning. When we tried to contact the emergency contact names, (which had been written on a small piece of paper at the entrance desk) , to ask about the breakfast, and to get an extra pillow, we found we couldn't dial out of our room and there was no info explaining how to do this. All this kind of info should be available in the booklet in the room along with emergency contact numbers, as there is only someone available at the premises during 8-8 assuming he's always there during that time!?!

Overall, high standard accommodation if a bit small, good location but could do with better info for guests espcially as there's not always someone to ask.

we stoped in the mdm luxury rooms 17/20 may and feel the nead to write a review .we deliberated long and hard on where to stop using trip adviser ect .although we didnt find many reviews on the mdm .we booked after seeing the photos on the various sites.what can i say but this place is a gem situated less than 5 mins walk from the vatican in a large appartment block .2storeys above a boutique shop so it is quite at night .the photos are a true refection of the rooms very clean great decor we had the suite and its the best bedroom we have ever stayed in and we have traveled quite a lot ,a round room with its large round bed ,romantic lighting,ect , it takes some beating . we also booked 3 rooms for our friends and these were also 1st class .so if you wish to go to rome book the mdm you will not be dissapointed .thanks to marco and arnel for a great stay .ps rome is all you could wish for to we walked back from the spanish steps ,trastavere.with not threat just good vibes so go to rome and have a great time
